Stayed here for one night whilst walking a long section of the K&A canal, and it was exactly what I needed. The welcome was warm, the room was fabulous (and wonderfully warm after the rain and cold of the day), and the food and service were both excellent and very prompt. If I had to gripe about something, the wifi strength wasn't great in my room, but nothing insurmountable, and I wasn't wanting to do much anyway!

This was the gem of our trip !!! Sydnie our waitress was just superb. If you are looking for something a little special this place is hidden in plain sight. Honestly it made our little trip from the attention to detail and the wonderful service . Thank you Sydnie xx

So pleased to have been fortunate to find the George and Dragon for a family dinner. Not that it is difficult to locate but a new find to us. Could not have been more helpful. They were originally struggling to accommodate us, but having looked at table seating and made a few adjustments called back to say they could accommodate us. Great first impression and those great impressions continued on arrival and throughout our stay. Service was very good, friendly professional and attentive without being ove the top. Food was faultless. A great experience we now look forward to repeating and we will return with no hesitation.

Be amazed by a pub with a difference.
Quirky pub but a hidden gem,owner(chippy) outstanding,foods glorious,will definitely stay there again.

My mother and i regularly visit The George and Dragon for Sunday lunch and we always have a wonderful time. The food is always delicious and the service superb. In fact, a couple of weeks ago, the restaurant manager noticed my mother was chilly and brought her a little hot water bottle for her lap. My mother was beyond grateful. What a delightful thought. This place is charming and wonderful, and we will continue to visit regularly.
