We had an excellent stay at Didier Meril. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, it was a very pleasant stay. The staff at the front desk were all so welcoming and happy to help. The efficient cleaning staff, too, were patient and friendly. Entering our room on the top floor, we were astonished at the breathtaking view over the bay; what a view to wake up to every morning! But also the clear shower cube and wonderful soaking tub were wonderful surprises. The room was clean, very nicely appointed, and the bed comfortable. The hotel is out of the fray of the touristic areas but is a short beautiful walk to downtown. There is also a great little boulangerie across the street, and an outdoor restaurant on the beach below. Our stay in Dinard was made even more memorable thanks to Didier Meril and we will gladly recommend it.

Stayed two nights with breakfast each morning and dinner one night. Room 6 was an attic room with a great view across the bay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom marvellous use of space and an outstanding shower. Breakfasts were plentiful but perhaps not for the calorie conscious. However great launch pad for much dog walking in Dinard, Saint Malo and Cancale. Our meal on the Wednesday night was superb and fun to read the menu from an I-pad. We chose the two different gourmet menus, one of us had carpaccio and then the beef and the other had beef cheek followed by the veal. Both of us had the cheese from the magnificent cheese trolley and then the pear and almond dessert. We chose a couple of Languedoc wines that were both excellent and very good value, as many of the wines from there are. Finally the young serving staff were very enthusiastic, pleasant and knowledgeable. It was a great evening overlooking the Baie de Prieure

We stayed in room 6 for 1 night on 31st August (2 adults and a 16 years old) What we like: Fantastic view of the Prieuré beach. Very helpful and friendly staff. Public car park in front of hotel. Magimix coffee machine in room. What we like less: Room looks dated and tatty (damaged furniture, strange half size wardrobe…). Small bathroom but with good shower. Only one very flat pillow per person (had to fold my pillow in half!). Sofa bed mattress very thin and you could feel the springs. Expensive continental breakfast at 18 euros. I felt that was overpriced for a few mini pastries, bread and cakes. The stairs can be a bit treacherous with suitcases. We paid nearly £200 for the room and an additional 54 euros for breakfast. All I can say is that I had higher expectations at that price level.

I read a moaning review complaining about the unsuitability of this hotel for small children. I agree, but don't blame the hotel, trying doing your research properly. Also, why go to France and expect everybody to speak to you in English? Our hotel suite no. 7 was wonderful, with 2 balconies overlooking the Plage du Prieuré, the seawater swimming pool and the sea. Very beautiful. The food prepared by Patron Didier Meril was between good and wonderful depending upon which dishes you choose. None of the food was disappointing. and the restaurant, I suggest, is verging on gaining its first Michelin star. The only slight difficulty experienced was with my wife's requirement for gluten free food at breakfast - no problem with the other meals. The promised porridge (flocons d'avoine) did not materialise until the last two days of our 6 day break. We would certainly return with great pleasure. Dinard is a lovely and beautifully maintained town.

Trois nuits au total. Belle chambre spacieuse et bien decoree. Literie parfaite. Vue exceptionnelle sur la baie de Prieure et sa plage. Personnel tres aimable et courtois. Parking aise (si patient...). Un peu eloigne du centre mais calme assure! Acces a la chambre un peu complique (pas d'ascenseur) par un escalier ardu (devrait peut-etre etre mieux signale sur le site pour les personnes agees ou PMR). Une belle adresse a retenir ! On reviendra.

Hôtel très bien situé pour se rendre à la plage et au centre ville de Dinard. Nous étions dans une chambre spacieuse, confortable et très bien équipée, avec d'un côté, la vue sur mer et de l'autre, la vue sur la place. La salle d'eau était équipée d'une douche. Je recommande cet hôtel.

L’hôtel Didier Meril est un très beau lieu avec une vue extraordinaire sur la mer. Néanmoins, nous avons été un peu déçus du petit déjeuner, qui contient beaucoup de choix de cakes et de fruits à coques, mais très peu de choix salés et pas de fruits. De plus, il n’y a pas de choix de yaourts et de nourritures chaudes (ce qui est embêtant pour un 4*). L’accueil n’a pas non plus été merveilleuse (avec l’impression de déranger le réceptionniste). Ainsi, nous avons passé un bon moment mais rien d’exceptionnel pour ce genre d’hôtel.

Pour séjourner régulièrement dans des 3 ou 4 étoiles celui là en vaut 2 tout au plus ! Pour commencer l'accueil ... On entre dans un petit couloir et nous attendons au comptoir de réception (le même que pour le restaurant), il n'y a personne... Un moment une serveuse nous aperçoit et nous fait le check-in. Nous montons des escaliers très exiguë et pas engageant. Et lorsque nous ouvrons la porte de notre chambre c'est la stupeur ! Chambre minuscule. C'est sur que lorsque l'on regarde les photos du site il n'y a qu'une seule photo du lit.. ça aurait dû nous mettre la puce à l'oreille. Déjà il n'y a rien pour poser ses affaires, même pas les chevets! Qui sont occupés par une machine à café et des tasses pour l'une et la bouilloire et des verres pour l'autre. Il y a une tablette rabattable contre le mur mais une fois ouverte on ne passe plus autour du lit... La deuxième bonne blague c'est la TV, qui est dans une niche au dessus de la porte à 2m du sol. Et troisième bonne blague la salle de bain. Lorsque l'on est sur les wc on peut se brosser les dents au lavabo et se laver les pieds dans la douche en même temps ! C'est vraiment honteux de faire payer une telle chambre 160€ et se dire 4 étoiles (ils ont pu les avoir juste parce qu'ils ont un restaurant étoilé). Je ne parle pas non plus du check-out très amateur, un monsieur dégarni semblait découvrir son ordinateur pour la première fois. Un conseil rester restaurateur, chose que vous faites très bien, mais laissez l'hôtellerie à des vrais professionnels.
