MMarcHoWe had the absolute pleasure of staying one night at LISIMAN 丽思漫丨心宿·穹庐四野供氧庄园（香格里拉店）, and honestly, words alone cannot do this place justice.
Surrounded by majestic mountains, wide open grasslands, and freely roaming animals, the setting is nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff (unfortunately, we didn’t catch their names after our long journey). Their hospitality was genuine and thoughtful — they introduced the room facilities thoroughly and even took the time to check in on our travel plans, offering to arrange transport to Shangri-La Railway Station the next morning for our onward journey to Kunming.
We stayed on the 3rd floor, and the panoramic view from our room was simply stunning — lush green grasslands dotted with horses and cows as far as the eye could see. There was even a charming little white pony on the premises that made our hearts melt — so cute and incredibly friendly.
The hotel also provided laundry service and an inviting high-tea session. Breakfast the next morning was a delightful spread featuring hearty local dishes, a lovely way to end our short but memorable stay.
If time had allowed, we would’ve stayed much longer. This place is a rare gem — serene, soulful, and truly rejuvenating. We will definitely return. Until then, our warmest thanks to the entire team for making our stay so special.

YYen Er Suzanne5 Stars – A Peaceful Getaway Surrounded by Nature
I had an amazing two-night stay at this homestay at Shangri-La (decided to extend 1 more night)! The accommodation was super comfortable and clean, offering a peaceful escape from the city. Surrounded by lush nature, fresh mountain air, and lovely ranch animals like horses, pigs, and cows – it felt like a cozy countryside retreat.
What made the stay even more special was the host's warm hospitality. He owns two adorable and friendly big dogs – a Samoyed and a Golden Retriever – as well as two super cute sheep that roam around the property. It really added to the charm and made me feel at home.
The area is quiet and relaxing, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. The owner was also very responsible and kind enough to provide return transport to the railway station, which was a huge help.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled stay with warm vibes and great company!

MmailcoThe hotel is in a good location. I originally wanted to stay in the first store, which is under renovation. There are many guests in the second store. Generally speaking, the service is quite different from that of Wunongding. A good luxury resort hotel depends on whether the staff treats guests from the heart. There is no refrigerator in the room. Although the drinks are placed in the public area, it always feels a bit strange. Most people who come to Yubeng come to hike. I heard the foot bath bucket from the table next to me when I was having dinner. I clearly told the housekeeper that I had walked for nine hours that day, but I didn’t see it mentioned. Of course, it was delivered quickly after I asked. The hotel provides cleaning and shoe brushing services, and provides a lot of hiking equipment rental.
The lack of service lies in how to serve guests at this price, whether the smile is from the heart, and whether to think about the problem from the customer's perspective.
During the meal in the restaurant, the guests at the next table wanted to add a dish of hot sauce. The waiter directly replied that the kitchen was off work. There was no way. I was stunned. As long as the guests are still in the restaurant, they don’t have to cook a new dish. Praise the service staff of the bar on the third floor, they are still very enthusiastic. I really recommend learning about the service of the company. Design and hardware are important, but service is the real soft power. It is irreplaceable.

Ttengku fahkrizaki tengku mohd noorI had a truly memorable stay at this hotel, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff eventhough they can’t speak English but they tried their level best to communicate via wechat and translate.From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. What really stood out was how they helped arrange transportation for my trip to Lijiang and even coordinated my transfer for the Balagezong tour.
On the day of my trip to Balagezong,the staff personally sent me to the nearest bus station by motorcycle to make sure I caught the right bus on time—something I never expected, but deeply appreciated. This level of care and attention made my journey smooth and stress-free.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and cozy, but it’s the warm and genuinely helpful service that made it special. Highly recommended for anyone traveling in the area who values hospitality that comes from the heart.

VVy Anh NguyenThis is by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to China. The hotel is equipped with all modern amenities, especially the toilet with an automatic bidet (something that’s not found anywhere else in China). The room was incredibly cozy with modern heating facilities, and the host even provided an oxygen machine (though I didn’t actually need to use it). I truly felt that it was worth every penny for the two nights I spent here.
One of the highlights was the adorable and friendly Ragdoll cat that lives here! The hotel owner even allowed us to bring the cat into our room to play, and it was just so sweet and playful.
Moreover, the host offered us a free pick-up and drop-off service at both the train station and the airport, even though it was 7 in the morning! I honestly have no complaints about this hotel. If you want to enjoy a fantastic stay in Shangrila, book this hotel now!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at ”Under the East Fence of Shangri-La Napahai Nature Reserve,” and I cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for by the host, Guozi, who is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met.
Guozi went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She upgraded me to a larger room than what I had booked, which was such a lovely surprise. The room itself was very cool — equipped with all the latest Chinese technology, including automated curtains, voice-controlled lighting, TV projector, screen, and a music system. The heated floors were an absolute treat, especially in the chilly Shangri-La weather.
The view from the room was simply breathtaking, with a full window wall overlooking the stunning landscape of the Napahai Nature Reserve. Waking up to such a view was an unforgettable experience.
Guozi’s hospitality didn’t stop there—she even made tea for me, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The dinner is simple and delicious. Great coffee and Chinese breakfast in the morning. On the day of my departure, her husband kindly drove me to the railway station, which was incredibly helpful and saved me a lot of stress.
Another highlight of my stay was meeting Hong Gongzi (The Red Prince), their adorable and majestic Alaskan Malamute. He’s a huge, fluffy, and gentle giant who added so much joy to my visit. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll absolutely adore him!
The location itself is stunning, nestled near the Napahai Nature Reserve, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful environment. It’s the perfect place to unwind and connect with nature. It is located well away from town.
Overall, my experience at this home stay was exceptional, thanks to Guozi’s warmth, the luxurious and tech-savvy accommodations, and the charming company of Hong Gongzi. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shangri-La and hope to return one day!

GGuest UserFeifan Hotel is conveniently located in Shangri La Old Town (Dukezong) and is fully accessible by car/taxi, which can drop you off right in front of the hotel. The hotel is tastefully decorated, paying homage to the town's Tibetan's roots, which is what makes the hotel very charming to me. The room itself is very clean comfortable to stay in, the amenities and kits provided are more than plentiful. The floors in front of the bathroom are also heated, which is very surprising (I wasn't expecting that). The loveliest aspect of my stay would have to be the kind hotel staff who were very helpful and welcoming to us starting from our arrival (the cups of warm tea was very relieving during the cold night). A couple of hotel staff members can converse in English, which was very helpful for us as we are foreign tourists. I appreciated the conversations I had with a staff member during breakfast about the various foods that was on offer. I also appreciated the little gift that was given to us when we checked out as the hotel staff seemed to notice that I did enjoyed several cups of butter tea during my breakfast and the help with arranging a car to transport us to the train station. Overall, I am very impressed with our stay here and would not hesitate at all to recommend anyone to stay here. It is worth it!

GGuest UserMy room was as described. Functional and nice and warm (with heating on) with an excellent hot shower and nice wooden wall beams.
The people who run the place are lovely and also offer nice breakfast options in the morning.
The only small note I have is that (despite best efforts and a very modern ventilation system in the bathroom) the bathroom is already moldy. I understand that it's a challenge to get under control given the climate.
I would stay again next time, and actually spend more than just one night here. There is so much you can explore here!

JjshanghaiWe stayed at the Wake Up Mountain Hotel in June 2024 for a week. The Hotel is wonderful. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are excellent, and the view from the windows of the mountains is fantastic. The Hotel also has a viewing area (and a bar) on the roof, providing the best sunrise view of the entire region's mountains. The restaurant has a great menu and excellent food; it is the best restaurant in the area. Finally, the staff Wenwen and others are wonderful, friendly and helpful. They arranged car and driver tours for us to travel around the area and addressed our requests. Excellent stay. They are highly recommended. Ken and Jacqueline
