Very nice place, good food. Just be aware that the Quito airport is nearby and landing planes fly over the hotel throughout the night. Unfortunately we had a room on the second floor, right under the roof, so planes were very loud throughout the night….

Beautiful boutique hotel with wonderful gardens and grounds just 15 minutes from the airport. Exquisite bird life and lovely views over to the surrounding mountains. Fabulous and we really enjoyed our short stay prior to our departure from Quito. Large and comfortable suites.

We stayed here one night returning from the Galapagos before departing Quito about 24 hours later. This was a great place for relaxing stopover. Communication to set up a pick up from the airport was wonderful, and we reached the hacienda in under 20 minutes, no traffic to worry about. Yet, the grounds of the hacienda feel peaceful. The hacienda is a lovely property with clean, spacious rooms and gorgeous gardens. The birding is excellent. Great trails around the grounds. Good restaurant on site for all meals. You will hear the planes from the airport on occasion but this didn’t bother us - part of the appeal was proximity to the airport. It was so nice to have a ride arranged for us to return to the airport and not have to worry about traffic from downtown Quito.

What a lovely, clean, and peaceful place to spend time, especially if you have a layover and want to avoid the long drive to and from the airport to downtown Quito. Yes you can hear the aircraft, but it is a reasonable tradeoff for the location and didn't disturb us. The cost of the first shuttle from the airport is included in your stay! The grounds are gorgeous and so well kempt - we saw beautiful hummingbirds, vermillion flycatchers, and the best lawnmowers (llamas). The room itself was clean and spacious and the staff were so attentive and kind. The dinner was so fantastic - we got a nice and inexpensive bottle of Chilean wine and listened to music from their converted jukebox, then meandered over to the diningroom for the best empanadas, coconut shrimp, trout, and delicious berry cheesecake. It is such a romantic yet laid back setting with the crackling fireplace. The prices are quite reasonable for what is provided. The breakfast, included in the cost of your room, was also nice, with some of the freshest fruit I have had. I hope we have another layover and reason to stop back here! It was truly felt like another trip unto itself.

Hacienda Jimenita is an absolute gem! My room was incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and had a cozy fireplace that I could actually build a fire in—such a unique and relaxing touch. The entire atmosphere was peaceful and charming, perfect for unwinding. And the food? Simply sensational. Every meal I had was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a serene and memorable stay. They picked me up from the airport and dropped me off the next morning. I wished I had more time here. ❤️❤️

We had a wonderful time, I took my mum for a couple of days to relax and it was perfect, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff were great and very helpful. The food was delicious. I recommend the salmon with uvillas (Ecuadorean fruit) But the best part was the outdoors, I saw 6 different types of hummingbirds, it was wonderful!

I had a relaxing two-night stay prior to a Galapagos cruise. I had a very late/early check-in after a long-haul flight, and I was greeted by helpful staff who escorted me to my room. The unfamiliar walk was a bit dark, but that ended up being a theme. In my "Imperial" room, Carihuairazo (#9), of the bathroom's three light bulbs, two were out, which made the shower especially dark. Luckily, that was the only thing to complain about! Staff were friendly and helpful, laundry service was affordable and fast, the room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. The grounds were lovely, and I sat for a bit to birdwatch the next morning, but I did not have enough time to truly explore and appreciate what the property had to offer. As others note, there are a lot of low-flying planes overhead, but it felt as though it was more common during the day. My sleep was not disrupted. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Quito.

We only stayed one night which was unfortunate as I wanted to stay a bit longer. The hotel is about 25 minutes from the airport, so you do get occasional plane noise but only very occasional and I didn't notice this at night. The grounds the hotel is set in are stunning and they have several trails leading to viewpoints and caves, we got up early, before breakfast because we wanted to explore the grounds. They have a couple of Llamas which they gave us some carrots to feed and we enjoyed this experience. The room was comfortable although quite dark and the shower looked complicated but it was fine and there was a log burner in our room as well. I especially liked the heated over blanket on the bed. We ate here and enjoyed our meal and our breakfast, for the latter we sat outside to enjoy the nature. The staff are all lovely and they provided excellent service, we enjoyed our stay here although it was too short.
