Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus - All Inclusive

I would not recommend a vacation at this resort. Many staff were extremely rude and disrespectful towards Americans. There were many families visiting that had the same experience. This was not a matter of rude Americans. This was a matter of individuals that did not treat Americans very well.

We are 4 families that came on vacation to Bayahibe in July ‘25. I wanted to give a big shootout to the people at the Prestige beach bar, beach kitchen, cafe and Star Prestige. The hotel is nice, but the true difference is made by the Dominican people that make us feel like home, always happy and giving personal service, making it a truly outstanding experience.

This was our fifth visit to Hacienda Dominicus and eighth overall to an Iberostar resort. Once we found Iberostar, we have stayed there exclusively. We had not been to Hacienda Dominicus in a year and a half, having gone to Bavaro Suites twice during that time instead. As always, Hacienda Dominicus did not disappoint and it was great to see a lot of familiar faces! When we arrived, we were greeted by Carlos at the club concierge. He has always been great and helped out with anything we needed during the stay. Domingo, from the club, would check on us anytime he saw us around the resort. He always wanted to make sure we didn’t need anything, down to making sure we had selected a good wine for dinner. At the club bar, Florimon always greeted us with a smile and set us up with the best drinks. His whiskey sours are second to none! The beach was perfect as usual and it was great to see our friends Manuel and Carlos at the beach club bar. Their service was excellent and they were always sure to make sure there wasn’t anything we needed. Knowing we liked limoncello, they were quick to get two more bottles for us when they ran out. Our son said they made the best Bahama Mamas! The resort as a whole was second to none. The grounds are well kept and the service is great. We can not wait to take another trip back!

jThe welcome was great, the room very nice, and the grounds lovely. Staff almost everywhere were super. However, after eating shrimp at the Japanese restaurant, I got extremely ill, my daughtergot mildly ill. She only ate a few, while I finished mine. We were careful to only drink the filtered water, so are fairly sure it was the shrimp. I lost 2 days of a 5 day vacation and missed a scuba trip. Not only that but on our last day, while still ill, I was locked out of our room. I had to go all the way to the front desk, while trying not to vomit. The grounds are large, so it was a walk I wished I hadn't had to take. The woman who reset my bracelet never apologized. She offered no kind words for a woman clearly suffering. Very disappointed is how I leave here. Separately, we both commend the amazing scuba diving instructor, Guillermo 'Gilly' from Dressel Divers. He was both loads of fun, yet extremely serious about his instruction. I felt really comfortable making my first dive with him, he is careful and thorough.

We just returned from a 10 day trip at Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus at beautiful Bayahibe in the DR. The trip was great and we always find all the staff at Iberostar to be very friendly and accommodating We want to include a special thanks to the entire Star Prestige team and especially Leidy, Domingo & Carlos who took extra care of us with all our extra needs and helping with Sandra’s birthday celebration. This was our third time at this Iberostar and now we are planning a multigenerational trip to the same resort for the whole family next year.

I just come with my family from our trip where we been 5 nights at the Resort. The Hotel is wonderful, has a fantastic beach and super active administrative team full of great activities starting from 11:00 am sport and dancing at the beach, 3:30 Bingo activity followed by an incredible dancing party on the beach. The beach is incredible, the food is more than our expectation. Tasty food ever. The hotel has 5 different cuisine each one was a unique. The staff were helpful, positive and professional especially the reception guy called Steve and the Experience activist booked called Grove . All of all were super and they made us feel like we were at our best trip ever. I would like to book again at the same hotel Give them more than 10 out of 10 rate 😍
