My other half bought me here as a surprise for my 40th birthday. It was wonderful! The staff were all incredible, couldn’t be more helpful! The room (The watermill) was gorgeous - we were shown to our room and offered help with our bags. Complimentary sloe gin in the rooms is a nice touch and the shower/bath products left out to use are all beautiful. Milk was delivered fresh outside your door in the morning. The food in the restaurant was amazing. We had both dinner and breakfast there and couldn’t have been more impressed. I would absolutely 100% recommend to others. Thank you for making my birthday really special!! ☺️

Absolutely loved our stay. 2 nights of pure relaxation. Hotel is so cosy. We booked a riverside suite and although the room was lovely & no complaints you couldn’t really see the river from the covers, covering the below rooms outside area. so next time i prob wouldn’t bother paying the extra for the view.

Wild Thyme & Honey is such a gem in the Cotswolds. The hotel is cosy, stylish, and full of thoughtful touches that make you feel instantly at home. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable — we didn’t want to leave. The Crown was fantastic, offering plenty of choices and warm hospitality. Starting the day with breakfast served in our room felt wonderfully indulgent — fresh, delicious, and the perfect slow-paced morning we truly enjoyed.

Arrived on the Sunday afternoon, the car park was packed but lovely member of staff guided us to a space, there is also an overflow car park around the corner which we didn’t realise until after. The receptionist who checked us in was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are absolutely stunning and extremely cosy, we also got a free room upgrade! The lounge bar is nicely laid out with a log burner, table service would have been nice but it was busy. A wide selection of cocktails and wines. I appreciated that in the restaurant we had been given a more private bench table as it was a birthday celebration, the food was delicious, steak cooked perfectly and the roasts are to die for, also was brought a birthday plate with my desert. The server we had was very efficient and polite. Very nice fire pit area outside for a drink. Breakfast was great too, and very well managed by a lovely waitress! Location is around 10 minutes to the local town. Overall fantastic and will definitely be going back!

We had our wedding dinner at Wild Thyme and Honey and it was such a great experience. Gabi and Katie were amazing – super helpful, really listened to what we wanted, and made us feel so relaxed and welcome. Gabi kept in touch so well and made sure everything went smoothly. The day before, we were surprised with a free upgrade to a bigger room, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was delicious and the service couldn’t have been better. If we had to do it all over again, we’d definitely choose Wild Thyme and Honey. Thanks for making our day so special! Kasia & Martin

This is way overpriced for what it is. There are many far better places to stay at a great price . A riverside suite at 360 a night , small attic type room . Beautifully furnished but tiny . En-suite so small there’s just enough room to stand by sink or shower. The food was great both dinner and breakfast and not overpriced . Be aware the Crown (which is the main part) is a large event focussed venue with huge crowds and so a lot is closed off during an event . A small lounge area in the middle of it all is inadequate for hotel (wild thyme) guests and event guests . It’s noisy and very busy . Don’t expect relaxed Boutique hotel or country Inn . The fish hotel or the slaughters are cheaper and a million times better .
