This was my first time staying in student housing, so I had little in the way of expectations beyond what as posted on the website. With that in mind: I was surprised and pleased at the number of facility amenities, such as a gym, bowling alley, quiet rooms, and kitchenette that were available for non-students to use. The laundry room was open, clean, and it was easy to figure out how to pay for the use of the washers and dryers (they are on an internet-based operating system). The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. It appeared, although I didn't ask, that they were, for the most part, university students working for some extra cash. The rooms were small, but clean and had plenty of electrical and USB outlets. The lights took a little figuring out - you have to turn on a master switch to get them to work. The local area wasn't too bad. Traffic wasn't extremely heavy. I didn't see any parking, beyond limited on-street parking, but I was using public transit and might not have noticed. There was a full grocery store just around the corner, another large convenience store a block away, along with several restaurants (including a vegan one), pubs, and coffee shops in the area. The light rail (LUAS) had a stop about two blocks away, with frequent service into city centre. It isn't in a bad neighborhood, but it is an older one, with some degree of deterioration. There are a few beggers in the area, but they are non-aggressive. Security isn't bad - you have to have an RFID pendant to get into the building, and need to use the same to reach the elevator, then into the hallway which your rooms opens into, and finally into your room. Each hallway has five rooms and a kitchenette. It's the same pendant, so if someone got hold of one illegally, they could still get into areas of the building. Still, it's more than just open doorways. On the down side, it is student housing, so there are the usual noises of partying students. There is an 11 PM no-noise curfew, which was by and large obeyed. Our first few days were at the same time as some soccer event, so it was somewhat noisier, with more drunkenness, than the rest of my stay. The doors are very heavy and close at a speed which will ensure that they will latch. However the combination of weight and speed create a noisy environment when people are coming and going. The room amenities are minimal. A couple towels, a sheet and quilt, toilet paper, and that's all. If you need more towels or paper, you ask at the desk. There is no cleaning service for the rooms during your stay that I knew of. The common areas were cleaned almost daily, and there were trash receptacles in the kitchenette so the rubbish didn't pile up in your room.

El alojamiento está situado a unos 15 m. andando al centro, en una zona tranquila, con un supermercado al lado. Las personas, todas jóvenes, que estaban en recepción, fueron extremadamente amables con nosotros. Las habitaciones son perfectas para una persona, pero para dos personas son pequeñas, la cama es estrecha. Estaban limpias, excepto alguna esquina de la ducha. Teníamos champú y gel en el baño, y en recepción había más. Todas las mañanas, en recepción ponen agua caliente con té, café instantáneo y galletas, para tomar antes de salir a pasear. Como son habitaciones dentro de apartamentos, comparten una sala de estar con frigorifico, cocina, etc. Perfecta para desayunar, cenar, etc. Al ser residencia de estudiantes, había muchos jóvenes, pero por la noche se respetaba el sueño, y no tuvimos problemas para dormir. En resumen, ¡nos encantó!.

As a student myself for 10+ years, I have stayed in many dorm rooms before. Upon being given the keys, we needed to sign a waiver stating that if we lost it, we would be charged 25 euros ( typical student housing rule). It was a bit confusing to find our room at first. The air conditioner would not turn on and it was super hot in the room as the sun was shining directly into the room. when looking at the bed, you could already see the dent in it. I sat down on it to find that there was no cushion to the mattress and my bottom literally sat on the frame. Bed sheets consisted of a linen sheet that did not cover the fabric mattress which was stained. There were spiders crawling onto the bed from the window ledge. The bathroom also did not provide hand soap, or any other soap. We stayed only an hour before agreeing this was not an appropriate to stay, especially for the price. Coming home, I received an email stating that the place refused to give me a refund even after me explaining this all to the front desk (who never offered me anything, only a "sorry"). Luckily found another hotel that was 20 euros extra a night more than this place that offered much more overall and high quality rooms. Really disappointed with the whole experience.
