Pinewoods Resort and RV Park

Duck Creek is beautiful and Pinewood Resort is located within a short drive to Navajo Lake, Cedar Breaks, Brianhead, Strawberry Point and 3 different caves we had fun exploring. The first thing we noticed was how close our RV site was to our neighbors’. Both to the side and behind us, the spots are in very close proximity to each other and share water. This became a problem when our side neighbors played their music loudly until 11 pm one night and revved their side by sides until 4 am the following night and the posted quiet hours were not enforced. The pool house has a weird smell and the water was murky but our daughter didn’t mind and had a lot of fun swimming anyway with the new friends she met playing on the playground and in the game room. The community bathrooms are big but needed cleaning. I loved my salad and Alfredo and my daughter really enjoyed her spaghetti from the restaurant but by husband didn’t like the texture or flavor of the chicken parm. Overall the property was clean from garbage and once our loud and messy neighbors left we had a quiet night’s sleep the last night. We would consider booking again and reserve one of the rear spaces that seem to be a little more secluded and larger.

The owner and employees of the Pinewoods Resort are so incredibly kind. We got stuck during a snowstorm and the owner took us to a local gas station to buy tire chains and helped plow us out of the parking lot. We were in a very sticky situation and would not have gotten out of it without all of their help. The resort itself is charming and clean and in a beautiful area.

They have a 14 day to cancel the reservation or they will keep all of you money. In the winter the roads may not be plowed so you may not be able to get to the hotel which is on a dirt road. We checked in the room and noticed that there was a leak in the shower. It continually got worse each day and we notified multiple people about the problem multiple times. No actual response. It got so bad that we had water falling from the ceiling. Finally, after telling them that we would not pay if they did not get maintenance to the room immediately they got someone to the room, and then 15 minutes later kicked us out of the room. They found another room that had no running water to stick us in. For 2 hours they told us they would get the water turned on before finally telling us they would not be turning the water on any time soon. They promised a partial refund and have yet to deliver. From the start they constantly told us one thing only to have it not be true. Also note the number key to get in the rooms is the same for all rooms. I'd think that is a severe security issue. The wifi is very spotty and they will even admit it.
