Beacon Pointe on Lake Superior

A very comfortable stay with great views from the windows and a nice apartment for families. The location is good, on the water, though the shore is rocky with no lifeguard, so would advise other locations for swimming. There are nice touches which make it fun, like the popcorn machine in the evenings and little kits to make smores. The staff is nice and helpful.

Best hotel ever and awesome location. Great staff. We are already planning a return visit and staying here again. They were even great at check in and allowing us to check in early when we arrived early and provided us extra towels at request and helped us track down a luggage cart.

Wonderful accommodations overlooking Lake Superior. Nice amenities and friendly staff. Will stay again. Close proximity to shops and restaurants.

Being on the lake was nice. Pool is small but wasn’t too busy, the kids enjoyed it. Free popcorn with candy toppings every evening was cool. We booked a one bedroom suite with full kitchen, a rather expensive room. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. Greasy hand prints on the large window that overlooks the lake, crumbs on the floor, the bed sheets had what appeared to be a small blood stain, and also appeared it had possibly not been changed (bottom sheet was loose and wrinkled, looked slept in, not freshly made). We got fresh sheets from the front desk and changed them ourselves, which then revealed a large gross stain on the mattress pad. Housekeeping changed it all the next day when I asked. The light fixture in the bedroom had a cover hanging off, was missing 2 of 3 fasteners, which felt a little dumpy. We left the place better than we found it, used a broom to sweep up, etc. I also fixed a lamp in the living room that was leanings badly ( just needed a leg adjustment). For the $$$ we spent, the room condition was disappointing. We won’t stay here again.

The location is perfect! Right on Lake Superior the views are breathtaking. The room is very comfortable and well maintained. Staff was so nice and welcoming. We only wish we had booked more days!

I believe this is the best view you can get at a hotel in Duluth. Our balcony was completely unobstructed so we could see from Canal Park on with just a turn of our heads. We usually go for bargain basement accommodations but this place was absolutely worth the splurge.
