Hele fijne plek, heerlijk schoon, alles aanwezig en leuk ingericht met prachtig uitzicht over the Fourth. Onder de ramen met uitzicht leuke zittingen zodat je naar de zonsop en neergang kunt kijken. Ook nog eens heerlijk ontbeten. Zeer verzorgd, gezond en lekker

A lovely cafe, we wish we stayed the night before! We visited for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The Coorie breakfast was fantastic - and the extra serving of tatty scones were a treat. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food and drinks were great. We had a fantastic seat at the window and were promptly served. A definite hidden gem in the area, and somewhere we will definitely be returning to when we next visit Scotland. It was a shame we did not stay the night as we know we would have enjoyed it. Surrounding area is lovely too.

We went to a festival nearby and stayed here and honestly - 10/10. Staff were amazing and even let us keep our room until 4:30pm free of charge as we weren't flying home until 7pm. Staff are great and we're so friendly and helpful. The place itself is lovely and has some great touches like vouchers for money off in the cafe and stunning seaside views. I would 100% stay here again if I was attending another event or visiting Edinburgh. We did hire a car as Limekilns is very remote - that's the only thing I'd say, transport is needed! Amazing stay! Thank you!

I don’t think I’ve ever come across ruder staff, my friends and I were shouted at from behind the counter, while another member of staff made snide comments about us daring to sit down. I WILL NEVER BE BACK AND NEITHER WILL MY FRIENDS. We walked along to another cafe where the staff were very pleasant.

After my recent stay at the property known locally as the Coorie Inn (more like the coin it in) I thought I would share my experiences. Lets do the positives first. The Corrie is in a great location with in spitting distance of the sea front and if you are lucky enough to get one of the correct rooms, you’ll have a gorgeous view of the water, get the wrong room however, and it’s some bins plus the noise of the kitchen extractor fan for a mere 9 and a half hours a day.. The staff at the Coorie are all lovely, welcoming and can’t do enough for you which makes staying there a total pleasure. The menu is extensive and provides for all tastes and when ordered the food always arrives brilliantly prepared and within a decent spell of time. Despite a couple of issues with shower temperature, the rooms are actually very welcoming having been newly redesigned with everything you will need from a huge spacious bed to a good sized smart TV on the wall. There is a serviceable hair drier, plus best of all the daily replenishment of the lovely Tunnock’s caramel wafers! Now on to the downside. Lovely though this property is, I think for the price point the use of the word hotel is generous at best, really operating more like a glorified B and B. The café which is the heart of the hotel is open from 8AM till 5 PM aprox, though they really would rather not take any orders especially from residents after about 4:15. The food in the café although lovely is quite expensive, with breakfast for an average family of 4 coming in between £40 or £50 pounds unless everyone just wants toast obviously. The real issue is that the café shuts at 5PM. Basically after this point the hotel has nothing to offer you outside of what your own room contains meaning you absolutely have to go out for food, drinks etc. This is not a huge problem until you get to a Sunday where the local pubs are closed for food, and if you happen to be with out a car or don’t want to drive you are rather stuck. Now this wouldn’t be a problem if the Coorie had a lounge area to sit in and get a takeaway, but this was removed some years ago so there is nowhere for occupants to sit other than your own room. Not a problem you say, well that would be correct if the rooms actually had chairs to sit in, however this is another thing lacking in the hotel, meaning once your day is done, you have the option of sitting on the rooms single desk stool, or just flopping on the bed waiting till morning. Another feature lacking is a small room fridge which has also been removed since the refit. Basically when you have a hotel where you can’t get a cold drink, not even from a machine after 5PM, it would have been nice to have a way of keeping something in the room however this was not possible. Really my conclusion is this, the Coorie is first and foremost a quality café, the residential part being a financial necessary evil and coming very much second best in the thought process of the owners. Lovely little cafe with great food. Excellent place to go to after a walk along the coastal path, especially as dogs are welcome. Pulled pork and caramelised onion and Bacon, brie and chilli jam Toasties were brilliant and will definitely be back.
