"A great stay. Staff were lovely and super helpful. A problem with my room meant i had to switch, but staff addressed this as soon as possible. Pool was an added bonus as were the sauna and steam room. Will def stay there again when visiting Durham."

"Advantages: beautiful environment, open the door is the endless field, classic English country cottage, bedding is very comfortable, toiletries are complete. There is free milk coffee juice bread, eggs, cereals and other breakfast.
Disadvantages: The location is too remote, the room is poorly soundproofed, and you can hear footsteps and coughs.
Overall suitable for people with cars, free parking in the front yard."

JJOCELYNCWas not my first choice but booked this hotel for my graduation at Durham University since all other hotels are fully booked. The hotel is relatively old but clean and has all the amenities needed (including an iron and the ironing board). Nice and friendly staff at the reception, who kindly assisted with the printing of some documents. Good location because it is within walking distance from the Durham Cathedral and the campus

AAnonymous UserFirst I stayed in the same brand hotel in north Durham for 4 nights, and then I stayed in this hotel in the city center for 12 consecutive nights. The location is very convenient, very close to the city center square and the train station, and the scenery nearby is very good. , The room is clean and the front desk staff is friendly. It's just that the natural wind blows all the time in the room, and it seems that it can't be adjusted to warm air or turned off. However, the temperature was not bad in early October, and I will stay here again if I have the opportunity.

TTiff In LVBeautiful location, I attended a friend's birthday party best service was received at the buffet restaurant in the evening and again in the morning by a younger blonde eastern European woman, she went so out of her way to help me both times, I wish I had asked her name. The buffet breakfast had everything you could possibly want, well worth the $17 cost.. I booked the Coleman Suite and it was beyond amazing, but the basic rooms some of my friends had seemed overpriced.. I should have used to pool, sauna and other amenities but there was no time with the party, I would recommend staying for at least 2 days next time. Wonderful stay, just too short.

GGuest UserService and reception were prompt and efficient. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Bar and gym was perfect for our needs.
Sadly room furniture and bathroom was tired and needs a revamp but everything is in the room you would need.
It was quite the walk to our room taking over ten minutes from reception and needing the use of two lifts. Car parking was not free to residents.
Honestly I would go back as we had a good location and hope for a different room.
