I give this MSU themed hotel a 7 overall. It's not a must-stay hotel. If you're in East Lansing, this hotel is good along with Kellogg and Marriott.
Advantages:
1. The hotel is very new;
2. The location is very convenient, and most importantly, it's safe! It is easy to walk to the school. There are two supermarkets, Target and CvS, 300 meters downstairs. There are many restaurants nearby (although only Charlie Kang noodles and Buffalo wings are delicious). Take a taxi to Eastwood (cinema, bravo Italian food, Sephora, fish market) and Okemos (Thai Princess Thai food, Meijer) which is right in the middle.
3. The MSU-themed decoration and color matching are very special; there is a refrigerator behind a row of different Michigan zip codes
Disadvantages: 1. Fully enclosed windows (although there is no odor)
2. Large bottles of toiletries
3. The water flow of the sink in the room I stayed in was small and the water temperature was unstable; but the shower was very good
4. Breakfast is included, but it is actually a la carte and charged
Please search Brody Square for $13.78 to enjoy the world's largest cafeteria buffet. It's about 10 minutes to walk back to school to eat in the cafeteria.
Also remember to ask the front desk for slippers and toothbrushes and toothpaste
