Situé face à la mer, cet hôtel offre de nombreuses chambres à un coût très raisonnable 60€ petit déjeuner inclus. Beaucoup de restaurants, commerces tout autour et gratuité du stationnement. Du balcon, on peut profiter de l’activité du port. Mais les chambres sont petites avec une salle de bains vieillotte, le lit de très mauvaise qualité, l’oreiller dur comme du béton. Par ailleurs, on entend un peu la rue durant la nuit… bref pas l’idéal. Le petit déjeuner est très bon. Copieux et avec un choix très grand à inscrire la veille sur le papier fourni par la réception. Hôtel à défaut….

Very nice hotel although very small rooms but was expected. Great location. Very helpful staff. Highly recommend for a short stay in gytheio

This was the fifth hotel that we stayed at in our 14 day tour of the Mani (2 nights). A super little hotel which we enjoyed enormously. Location on the sea front was perfect, excellent room with swallows everywhere. The breakfast was, frankly, poor. No complaints about the cleanliness or the service - just what might be expected.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and of high quality. Awesome location would definitely stay there again. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast during our stay there.

We came back from another fab two-week stay at the Aktaion earlier this month. As with last year, I can't praise the place highly enough. It offers everything you need in a great location in the town centre, and for the price we really don't think you could do better. Special mention must again go to the wonderful Natassa and Katerina (and Victoria!), who do an incredible job, from serving breakfasts to cleaning rooms (and generally going above and beyond). Also to Evangelia on reception, who was just fantastic with our 11-year-old (he's now determined to surprise you with his Greek when we come back!)

Just come back from a fabulous two-week stay at the Aktaion in Gytheio, and can't rate it highly enough. Accommodation is clean and provides everything you need, including decent ensuite bathroom, a fridge, and a balcony with a brilliant view of the harbour. Really good setting surrounded by bars, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast is excellent and special mention must go to the wonderful Natassa and Katerina, who work incredibly hard to look after guests. See you next year!
