High Hill Inn

The stay was very nice. The room was beautiful and with beautiful views the large bed was very comfortable. The large soak tub was nice to use at the end of the day Slept like a baby Joe cooked us a wonderful breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here downtown. Montpelier was very close with a lot of things to do in the center.

I’m so thankful I stumbled upon this gem! Ann-Marie was so kind to speak with when assisting me with my reservation. The house had such a nice cozy/homey feel to it that I found very comforting. I had the pleasure of staying in the 3rd floor junior loft. To say the view was breathtaking is an understatement. Even with stormy weather, I couldn’t believe how beautiful and peaceful the scenery was. I did luck out and get to catch a bit of the sunset on my first night before the clouds rolled in. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, as were the linens. It was such a pleasure getting to chat with Joe, Ann-Marie’s husband, who also owns the inn. He was so inviting and made me feel as if I’d known him for years. I could have sat and talked with him all weekend. He also makes a delicious pot of coffee. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway close to town and popular skiing areas, I highly recommend High Hill Inn. I can’t wait to book my next visit!!! Thank you Joe & Ann-Marie for making my first ever solo vacation one I’ll always remember :)

We stayed in the King suite for one night and it was fabulous! The inn is located about 7 miles out of Montplier but the property was quiet and beautifully situated. AnnMarie & Joe were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our conversations. We highly recommend this b&b!

THANK YOU!! Ann-Marie and Joe are two of the friendliest and most caring hosts you could hope to have at a B&B. Both of them took us and two other last minute guests during the flooding, and though they had no notice, they were quick to react, preparing comfortable rooms, ensuring everyone's safety, and contacting local officials in town to help us plan for the morning. The breakfast served in the morning was also excellent. I must also say that the views from the hill are spectacular as advertised, and there were a number of friendly animals on the property that added to the serene environment. All in all, we are so happy we managed to stay here, and hope to do so again soon under better circumstances!

We went home to a place we haven't been before Excellent location / room and hosts! Ann-Marie and Joe went above and beyond to provide a warm,cozy and wonderful stay. From the gorgeous sunsets to the deer grazing in the fields below our beautiful room, to the friendly and delicious breakfast of omelets cooked in coconut oil surrounded by bacon, home made yogurt with compote and toast, to the spirited and thought provoking conversations, it didn't seem like a bed and breakfast, but rather a welcome stay in their home. Highly recommend!!
