Nkomazi Game Reserve by Newmark

Mit "Zelten" hat die Komati Tented Lodge im Nkomazi Game Reserve nicht wirlich etwas zu tun. Die Einrichtung der Zelte erfüllt höchste Standards. Zum Zelt gehören noch ein eigener Pool und Dusch- und Bademöglichkeiten im Freien. Die Zelte liegen mit ausreichend Abstand zu den Nachbarn direkt am Komati River. Die Lodge erreicht man vom Gate in einer 30 minütigen Fahrt mit dem eigenem PKW mit entsprechender Bodenfreiheit, oder lässt seinen Wagen am Gate bewacht stehen und sich vom Personal der Lodge abholen. Zweimal täglich werden Gamedrives im privaten Reserve angeboten. Von den Big Five leben 4 im Reserve (keine Nashörner). Einrichtung super. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Spa Angebot empfehlenswert. Frühstücksangebot sehr gut. Leichte Abzüge beim Dinner. Das Essen war gut aber nicht hervorragend was zum sonstigen Ambiente der Lodge besser gepasst hätte. Leichte Abzüge auch für die Gamedrives. Unser Fahrer wirkte nicht souverän, sondern teilweise etwas hektisch und unerfahren. Alles in allem aber trotzdem eine Top-Lodge.

We liked our stay at the game reserve, our unit overlooked the river which was very relaxing, we only went on 1 game drive due to not seeing any Elephants or Lions which was disappointing and the Buffalo where very far away, the vehicle for the game drive was very old and difficult to get in and out as I have had 2 hip replacements.

What an incredible spot in the African bush! Love this place, great service, great team, great food and lovely boma area. Rooms are 5 stars with lovely views and very comfortable. Our guide Seblo was so so good. Lion and Leopard sightings and his knowledge of the bush, animal Spaw and the bird life is incredible. I do think with the prices we paid, the wine selection for all-inclusive could be a lot better as they did have a good selection in the non-inclusive. South African wines are great, let your clients enjoy great wine in all inclusive. Also fill the tent fridges daily for your clients, this would make a big change to other clients who stay there!
