Wir waren im Juli 2022 hier. Das Zimmer war möbeltechnisch in die Jahre gekommen (ohne Safe und Kühlschrank) und nur mäßig sauber, was aber noch im Rahmen war. Völlig inakzeptabel war aber, daß es das gebuchte und im Internet beworbene Frühstück überhaupt nicht gab, sondern jeweils pro Person ein "Lunchpaket" mit einem Schokoteilchen, zwei Bananen und zwei Trinkpäckchen. Wie damals auf Klassenfahrt... Für den aufgerufenen Übernachtungspreis zumindest eine Unverschämtheit, angesichts der Werbung im Internet wohl schon Betrug! Zudem war an einem Tag das Bett nur schlampig, an einem weiteren Tag überhaupt nicht gemacht. Eine Möglichkeit, Bordkarten für den Rückflug auszudrucken, bestand auch nicht. Alles in allem: Finger weg!

Unfreundliche Rezeption, Zimmer sind schmutzig, Dusche katastrophal, überall Spinnweben, laut, Zimmer nicht wie dargestellt. Dafür fanden wir es ausgesprochen teuer. Eigentlich ohne Worte, dass so ein Etablissement eine 4 Sterne Kategorie für sich beansprucht!

Booked a double room. Paid for a double room in advance. On arrival they said there was no double room available. No repayment and no apology. Offering services and taking money knowing that you won't provide that service. If that's not fraud what is it?

Unscrupulous, lazy dirty service run by a bunch of losers. The room is small, the location is not very convenient and the donkeys serving the guests dodge room service by resetting the door sliders grom make my room to do not disturb. The useless staff do not provide replacement towels when guests contact them in person during their available hours. When feedback is provided they suggest that guests should book elsewhere. The city council should look qt how filthy the place is and consider and fine the owner and the derelict staff. Bunch of useless losers.

Firstly , we did not stay in this property . On arrival we were taken across the road to number 47 Gilmore Street ( Bowmore) . The room was in need of upgrading , the horrendous wallpaper had been damaged by the bed head . The same bed head was not far from becoming a safety hazard , as the joints were screwed together and looking to weaken further . The bathroom door ( inside ) and skirting’s had clearly not been cleaned for a long time . The double bed only had a mattress protector on , no sheet . The bath towels were too small , hardly enough to cover one’s embarrassment . Ironically the shower was the best feature . The staff appeared to be a mixture of foreign nationals . After night one , the room was not cleaned and the bed was left unmade . The requested sheet , clean towels and loo rolls were not done . The only redeeming feature was the fact that it is only 15-20 minute walk from Edinburgh Castle and there was a good variety of local eating places within a 10 minute walk range .
