Please note: In the Main Cabin, there are two full bathrooms, one on each floor. Bedroom #4 upstairs in the Main Cabin is a loft-style bedroom with a Queen bed and offers limited privacy. The Bunk House above the three car garage is detached from the Main Cabin, sleeps 6 guests in beds with an open floor plan and has a half bath with a toilet and sink. A private outdoor shower is available weather permitting from April - October. Guests are unable to access the garage; however, there is plenty of parking on site.Other things to note:Diamond Falls Preserve is located on a private, gravel road that dead ends in to the property. The property has a gated stone entrance. For security and safety considerations, please inform your guests that security cameras located on the front porch are visible and actively monitor the front entryway and driveways. The mailbox is located almost 1/2 mile away from the gated entrance. Deliveries are usually left at the mailbox located near the blue barn on your way up the gravel road. Coyotes are regular but discreet visitors. Guests may encounter “Owlbert,” a large Great Horned Owl who has claimed Honey Bear Orchard as his territory since about 2017. Most guest will never see him, but they are very likely to hear him in the predawn hours. Several kinds of hawks, and an occasional Bald Eagle have been sighted, but the songbirds along Clear Creek will dazzle the eye. September 27, 2024, is a day we will never forget here in WNC. Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc to this area of our mountains. Slowly but surely, we are rebuilding. Grandma's Cabin was miraculously spared and is now up and running.We do need to let everyone know that the road conditions are rough in some parts. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs also large upstairs loft area with sectional sofa and a 52 inch flat screen TV all TVs are hooked up to Dish Network, upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed with upstairs bathroom which has a tub shower combo with stone tile flooring and granite counter top on vanity, the downstairs living room has a pull out sofa.
