Ora Beach Resort

Ora Beach needs an update, the hotel is large and the rooms large. But all the facilities, gym, aircons, TV are old and outdated. It's on a stretch of beach in a little Cove with a beautiful view , the food is... ok. But it's close to some great restaurants elsewhere. The shower was poor but the toilet worked.

Ora Beach Resort El Nido Good thing here: - surrounding is very quiet - rooms very clean and well maintained - direct access to beach and closed to outside restaurant area Bad thing here: Breakfast: Cheap and prepared to an absolute minimum. Spongy toast bread, no ham or beacon or saussage, no cheese and who the heck eats ,Pesto Spaghetti‘ for breakfast…! Everything is done and presented in a rather stingy manner without selection and for a Cappuccino you are asked to pay extra. You may expect a ‚little more‘ for + USD 200 per night. Room air-con’s: Wall-build-in window type. Incredibly noisy. Bring your ear-plugs, else forget a quiet sleep. Why not have equipped the rooms with modern split-type units which work quiet when building a new hotel? Maybe a further cost saving decision by the management. Sleeping pillows: Cheap pillows with full syntetic filling. Make you sweat the whole night and the headsmell of the previous guests is free of charge. Unfortunately another unforgettable cost saver. The abandoned and untidy pizza area near the beach makes another sad impression. How nice it could be, to enjoy a real Italian Pizza during sunset near the beach. Needless to say, that a few improvements could make a stay perfect. The place in current condition is unfortunately not really worth the money you are asked to pay. Advise to the Hotel management: Fix the points above mentioned and having therefore fully satisfied customers. Then in a constantly increasing competitive environment will this way definitely pay out more and sustainable, than just having a few more bucks in the pockets in a short term 😉.
