"This is not a 5* hotel. We arrived late so check in was really rushed. We were not given any information about the hotel in general and what's on offer. We had no idea you could get a free shuttle bus into skala or poros ( 1 hour walk + a massive hill to climb. ) we found this out on checkout day! We also were not told about the options regarding the extra restaurants which meant we were subjected to disgusting food. I will give positive feedback for the breakfast options. The staff - restaurant and bar staff were all pleasant. Front of house staff not good. The rooms/hotel. When booking it wasn't clear what types of views you could have, therefore we asked for a room with a view. An extra €140 euros! When we checked out we overheard a couple saying the had complained and got a FREE upgrade to a superior room. The rooms in its self. The toilet is situated in the shower cubicle with the telephone?!?!? Having a shower was not a pleasant experience when you have toilet smells around. On arrival we came into a room with two single beds. We therefore had to ask for a double mattress. It's a very steep hotel and not much parking. It does have a lot of ants and birds around ( we didn't mind the birds. We actually had a little nest with a bird inside which we named Frank. ) To round off we won't be coming back again to this hotel. Kefalonia is absolutely stunning and we will be back visiting this stunning island in the future."

"بقينا هنا لمدة أسبوع B&B. إنه مجمع جميل مع الكثير من الغرف على الطراز الريفي. كعائلة حجزنا غرفة عائلية تحتوي على 2 غرف و الحمامات مترابطة. من الصعب العثور على سكن مثل هذا النوع من الإقامة عندما يكون لديك أطفال أكبر سنا ولكن هذا كان مثاليا! كانت الغرف نظيفة للغاية ومصانة جيدا. كانت الإطلالة على البحر الأبيض المتوسط استثنائية. موقع لطيف هادئ وسلمي. كان اختيار موفق. تناول الإفطار فيði لكثير من الخيارات وتناسبنا جميعا. كان من الممكن أن يكون الطعام أكثر دفئا ولكن تلقي ردود فعل من قبلنا بلطف. كشخص يتبع نظام غذائي صحي، وجدت الكثير من الخيارات ليتناسبني أيضا. كان هذا الفندق مكانا رائعا للاستكشاف. أقترح أن المياه المعلبة مزودة في الغرف. الشيء الوحيد الذي ظننا أنه مفقود."

"فندق جميل بكل ما تحتاجه بالتأكيد. كانت ايفا موفقة جداً وساعدتنا في الإستقبال ومتابعتها في الفندق. فريق ايفا و ألكس كلهم فريق رائع معاً و قد جعلوا إجازتنا ممتعة و محببة. سنعود ديفو في المستقبل وهذه زيارتنا الثانية إلى سكالا. فندق ميليدونو هو فندق محبوب ، قيمة جيدة للغاية مقابل المال. لقد استمتعنا بإقامة رائعة وسوف نوصي بركة جميلة، شاطئ على بعد 2 دقيقة ومطاعم حبذة القريبة - موقع مثالي. التنظيف رائع، الغرف لا تصدق - على الطراز اليوناني. ووجدنا إيفا والموظفين مفيدة جدا والحب - لقد أحببنا إقامتنا/عطلة."

"The 5 star rating is for the hotel, based on it being a 3 star hotel. The resort would receive a different rating. Less and less I like big hotels. Makis Hotel hits the right note in terms of big enough to offer all you need, but not too big as to be too busy. Our room was of standard size, overlooking the water and offered all that was necessary. Breakfast offered enough choice for the star rating. Staff were very friendly. The pool and bar area were comfortable and bar food was very enjoyable. You can hire pool towels for a 10€ cash deposit and they can be changed on alternate days. My only disappointment is the usual nonsense of people reserving sun beds before breakfast. The hotel signage advises people that it’s not allowed and that towels will be removed. Unfortunately this isn’t adhered to, as we had many people reserve the same Cabana/sunbeds every day and for extended periods, not always use them. Like many, I find this performance very annoying, but in the end the hotel advised that they didn’t want to Police it and so despite being willing to follow the rules, we had no choice but to adopt the same reservation system. I’m sure the hotel would find alternative beds should none be available, but that’s not the point. The hotel is less than 5mins. walk to the small centre of Skala. Having travelled extensively throughout Greece/the world, we found the resort underwhelming. Whilst there were enough restaurants to choose from, the menus were usually very similar. We can recommend Oinos Wine Bar, for both simple, quality food and wine (knowledge as well) selection and Mikelatos Restaurant, for great quality and well presented food. The main street is quite short, offering limited and repetitive retail options and whilst pretty enough by night, didn’t greatly excite if staying for more than a few nights. At the time of our visit, the resort appeared largely populated by Brits and a few Eastern Europeans. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, (were very happy with the hotel), though pleased we took a days car hire to find something more authentically Greece, as Skala could be anywhere!"

"This has now been rebranded and is now "La Skala Vista" hotel. The pool has been thoroughly cleaned and the surrounding apartments have been repainted. It is much tidier and looks to be very exclusive once finishing touches have been made. The gentleman in charge told us he spent "one million Euro!" On upgrading it and added that "It needed it!". I cannot comment on the rooms inside as we were only using the pool and pool bar (which is in the process of being restocked). The prices behind the bar are a bit steep. Eventually, the proprietor aims to have an open buffet style BBQ on the upper terrace (which will be very romantic when furnished). Hopes to be ready on the 1st July. "

"We spent 2 days at Blue Jasmine. The outside spaces are beautiful. Our room was at the back, so no views really. It was spacious and spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. A little milk and a couple of tea bags would have been very welcome on arrival. Breakfast wasn’t great. The staff we met were pleasant."

"Unfortunately this hotels seems to have suffered desperately from The make money give poor service epidemic that seems to be sweeping the Greek islands. This is not a 5 or even a 4 start establishment. At a push it’s a 3. I do not expect to see signs such as ‘before you ask me have you thought about it’ in a hotel. This makes me think it’s a toxic work environment. Now for the review- your hotel rooms are dirty, hire more Cleaners, your reception staff are rude, Teach them Customer service, a QR code is not going to cut it for the price I paid. For 5* my towels and sheets are changed daily, if it’s three days it’s a three star. I should Not have to explain this to you. Your spa price is too high and you didn’t serve anything except pork or chicken in the entire 7 days. You are the 3 star at best. No map of the massive hotel And reception staff I felt I needed to pay to actually be awake. TUI, get rid of this hotel. They reflect very very badly on you as a travel company."

"كانت الإقامة لمدة أسبوع ، الفندق تقليدي يودي باليونانية ، العاملين فيه خدومين وودودين للغاية ، لا يمكن الوفاء بالتزاماته ، الموقع يقع خارج المنطقة الرئيسية سكالا (10 دقائق مشي) على الشاطيء مباشرة مع تافيرناس وقهوه قريبة جنبه شي سوبر ماركت. ينصح بشدة بهذا الفندق إذا كنت تبحث عن الضيافة اليونانية التقليدية! شكرا للإقامة الكبيرة."

"كان الموقع مثاليا في بوروس ، بالقرب من الميناء وجميع المطاعم المحلية. لم يكن لديك أية مشكلة مع الضوضاء على الرغم من أن المكان كان من الواضح أنه مشغول للغاية. كانت الغرف أساسية ولكنها نظيفة ، ولم تحتاج حقا إلى أي شيء أكثر من ذلك. الإفطار كان وفيرة ، ولا يوجد شيء أفضل لتناول الطعام. كانت هذه الشقق الفندقية رائعة في موقع لا بأس به. ولكن بمجرد أن رأينا صوره في موقع جيد، فإنني أعتقد أن الفندق سيكون بعيداً جداً عن المركز. كانت المناظر مذهلة (كان لدينا إطلالة على البحر)، والقيمة الإجمالية جيدة مقابل المال. الخدمة كانت10/10، كان لدينا مشكلة مع AC والتي تم إصلاحها على الفور، وكان المالك هناك للتحية عند الوصول/التأكد من الخروج."

"Booked 4 nights . Fully paid. Left after 1. Room 301 Noise was terrible, kept awake all night. Did i mention noise? ?? From Upstairs, bathroom window , Kids at pool( which needs a good clean) Beds are rock hard White towels ? ( old And beige , need a good Bleach. Shower head kept falling off the bracket. Asked For some ice for a Drink , got given a single use plastic cup got asked to bring cup back . The only good thing about this hotel was jerry the receptionist and the resident black cat. Avoid at all cost . Which by the way is expensive. We moved with out any refund as we just wanted to get out of there . Paying the same price at a 4 star hotel which is incredible after such a disaster."

"Arrived late afternoon and shown to our room which overlooked the small garden and pool area. The room was large and clean. All I would say on a negative the room was a little “tired” and could do with a spruce up. Small details like a new curtain for the patio and a few little touch ups here and there. The pool was a nice size and never crowded. Breakfast was ok a selection of bread, ham cheese coffee and juice. Maybe some fresh fruit would have been good. The location is good a 5 minute walk to the beach and Skalas Main Street. I would say though if you want 5 star plus pay for it, don’t expect 5 star accommodation when you’re paying 2 star prices. If your after a base in Skala then the big village is ok."
