Mid-June the swim raft goes in the water and is anchored 200' off shore.4 adult sit on top kayaks, 2 kids kayaks, to get ready for lake fun. There are a few lifejackets, but you may want to bring your own, wearing lifejackets is recommended for all water activities (especially for children). Beach towels are provided!Lakefront living is wonderful and comes with all that nature provides - even bugs - come prepared to enjoy the outdoors. Centrally located in the Village, guests are a block away from the Bass Lake public access, and two blocks away from Elk Lake access- perfect for walks, kayaking, and picnics. The house is walking distance to downtown, the dam for fishing, and just about every dining option in the city. Additionally, we are close to golf, the Elk Lake marina for boats, hiking, biking, kayaking, and a quick drive to Traverse City. However, if you'd like to access Bass Lake by boat, the boat ramp and park are directly beside our home!Elk Lake is another beautiful option for spending your day on if you'd like a larger, deeper body of water. Rent a boat from Elk River Marina and cruise the deep, Caribbean blue waters. Elk Lake has a depth of 192 ft, making it the second deepest lake in Michigan, second only to Torch Lake which lies directly to its east.
