Inzalo Safari Lodge

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The room was even more beautiful in real life, and had all the luxury and comfort we could dream of. The lodge feels intimate without feeling crowded, and we found the location along the river really special. We thoroughly enjoyed the daily game drives, but also felt we had enough time in the day to relax and rest. The Inzalo team are fantastic. Our game ranger Wiseman was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Chef Sparks’ food was unbelievable - I still dream of some of the things he cooked for us. The team also accommodated my request to do something special for my partners birthday and they organised a cake, a choir and a private dinner. I’ve been singing Inzalo’s praises and have no hesitation recommending it as an unforgettable spot.

I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for the incredible experience we had during our stay at Inzalo Lodge. From the breath-taking surroundings to the impeccable hospitality, it was truly a trip we’ll never forget. A special thank you to your amazing team—Lou-ann, Shaun, Carol, Patricia, Sparks, Eric, Magdeline, Maria, and Frans—each of whom contributed to making our stay so memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and passion for what they do left a lasting impression on us both. I would highly recommend Inzalo to anyone who wishes to have a beautiful safari & bush experience and would come back in a heartbeat!

Our 3rd visit to this very small lodge in a very diverse Game reserve: hills, valleys, savannah and large grasslands can all be found in the Welgevonden Game reserve. This also means that it sometimes hard to view the wild life; the landscape makes up for that. The lodge is small and guests are welcomed warmly; service is friendly and personal. Meals are well proportioned and lovingly prepared; the suites are nice, including a private deck with plunge pool, overlooking the Snel rivier and its valley. The rangers are professional and know the wildlife and the area. We truly enjoyed our stay here and we will certainly return when planning a trip in the J’burg area.

Wow! What an incredible 3-day safari experience at Inzalo! The most beautiful private, secluded, well-located lodge in the reserve. Gorgeous rooms facing the mountains and overlooking the river. The safari drives were AMAZING. We saw lions, elephants, rhinos, zebras, buffalo, cheetahs (!), black rhino (!!!), giraffes, bucks, beautiful birds, and so much more. The views are out of this world. You re-connect back with Earth. You go back to our roots, and it feels amazing. But what was special no less, was the amazing staff that took such good care of us. Our amazing guide - Wiseman - deserves every bit of credit and thanks. He made our safari so special. A great guide, and kind and funny person, who obviously loves what he is doing. Inzalo and its guests are blessed to have him. The kitchen staff, the general staff, are so kind. Always tending to your every need, always accommodating. Shaun, the manager, is likewise amazing! Always checking up with us, making sure we’re satisfied, asking how our safari drives went, telling us about the property’s history, about the region. A great man, and manager. We’re truly grateful to him. Last but not least, Dave the owner. What a kind person - kept in touch throughout the months prior to our arrival, was helpful in every way, and of course checked up on us during our stay. He and his wife created a heavenly lodge in an amazing place. And did such a great job! Thank you for your kindness! We’ll recommend Inzalo to all, and we shall be back!

A magical experience from Start to end. We loved the entire experience. The luxury tents are just beautiful and lying on the veranda watching a family of elephants pass by sums up our time. The staff could not do more and the food was all delicious. It was my daughter’s 20th birthday whilst we were here and they made such an effort. The drives with wiseman were fabulous - saw all the animals we wanted and the scenery whilst driving was just beautiful. Thankyou all for making our three night stay so amazing - only wish we could stay longer!

Oh wow, what an amazing experience this was. Pure luxury, pleasure and hospitality at the lodge in combination with the most stunning drives twice a day. You set the bar really high ! For the four of us (Heleen & Frank, Petra & Ronald) this holiday was our first trip to South Africa and also first time safaris ever. Guess we're spoilt for life now. We'll be back !
