Elounda Akti Olous (Adults Only) ★★★★

"This was our first time staying in Elounda and Akti olous. The holiday got off to a brilliant start as we were upgraded to a junior suite with spectacular views! The room was comfortable clean, with good air conditioning kettle/coffee machine iron with ironing board and toiletries to use. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the massive balcony, which was just heaven. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and we ate it whilst sitting out by the sea, the staff are all pleasant and hard working and a special shout out to the barman who worked in the Sky bar as he made the best cocktails, we had a few cocktails at the bar before heading out again the views are spectacular! We spent a few afternoons relaxing on a lounger on the small beach area belonging to the hotel (the pool area seemed nice but we were never getting a lounger there unless up at the crack of dawn) which to be honest did not bother us. There is also a bar/restaurant next door, and you can use their loungers if you buy a drink. Akti olous is a small quieter hotel with a mainly older clientele which suited us fine it is a very pleasant walk in to Elounda with lots of restaurants and tavernas on the way, we had a lovely stay and I would definately return."

"كان هذا أحدث إقامة في منتجع Elounda Heights (أكثر من 20 حالياً) ، وكل عام ، استمتعنا بالراحة والود الأسرة المريحة. تتميز الإطلالة بإطلالة رائعة على جبل من أركان مطلة على خليج كورفس وميرابيلو. كانت الغرف كبيرة ونظيفة ومشرقة ونظيفة للغاية. الإفطار كان جيداً جداً ، ولكن ليس مثالياً. يوجد بالقرب من الفندق محطة مترو. لتناول الإفطار ، تحتاج إلى تناول الطعام في مكان قريب ، ولكن ليس مثاليا. يقع فندق بركة برهان في العزيزية، محبس الجن وعلى على بُعد 5 دقائق بالسيارة من الحرم الشريف، وبوفر خدمة نقل مجانية ذهابًا وإيابًا من وإلى الحرم الشريف خلال النهار. تتميز منطقة بركة السباحة بنظافتها، كما تحتوي على عدد كبير من البهويات وأنواع البانيو. يتم تقديم بوفيه الإفطار في الطابق العلوي، مع مجموعة واسعة من المشروبات والوجبات اللذيذة. يضم الفندق منطقة مخصصة للمشي ومركز للياقة البدنية ومركز للياقة البد يتميز هذا الفندق بكبره في الحجم وموقعه على الشاطئ . من العيوب أن الانتظار لتسجيل الدخول قد يستغرق مدة طويلة بسبب الزحام. طبعا للأفراد غير المحبين للقمار عدم السكن في هذا الفندق لأنه عبارة عن كازينو ضخم. يوجد مطعم على الموقع يقدم قائمة بالكارت وايضا يقدم مطعم يومي مميز وهو مطعم كريكت يختلف عن يوم. جميع الغرف نظيفة جدا ومعينة ذوق . يتم تزويدك بمنظر يطل على البحر أو الحوض أو الحدائق. هناك مواقف كافية للسيارات لأولئك الذين يستخدمون سيارة استكشاف المنطقة. لقد استمتعنا بشكل كبير في إقامتنا الأخيرة وحجزنا مرة أخرى العام المقبل ، لماذا لا ن? نوصي بالقيام بذلك أيضًا."

"Enjoyed 8 nights here We had a 1 bed suite which was huge, with a lovely bathroom and separate lounge Food wise was excellent from the lovely breakfasts, daily lunches by the pool and 2 dinners in the evening Service was friendly and very helpful The villas are around an hour from airport (115 € exec transfer), then in taxis 10 mins from Elounda centre (10€), 15-20 from Plaka (15-€) and 20 mins from Ag Nic (16€) The pool was empty most days as people in pool villas stayed around the villas and others went to the beach club. On a couple of days it was a bit noisy, if family’s were playing in pool, but for the majority of time it was great !!! No probs we reserving beds due to amount of people using pool Beachclub ( located just past Domes hotel) - sea was lovely there on our visit Tip is to ask reception how many people have gone down their in the 15 min courtesy bus, as again it can be busy as only 2/3 working at bar restaurant and took us 1 hour to get lunch So in summary lovely villa, great food and we might be back in the future with our girls !!!"

"We went many years ago to Driros beach where there was only one taverna on the beach with apartments behind across the road! They were run by a local family. Wonderful people! Are they still there? Two cousins ran the Taverna. One called Cosmos who, if I remember correctly, was a Lawyer! Their mother elative used to prepare the days veg every morning having slept on one of the settles in the Taverna bar! Such wonderful memories!!"

Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort, Six Senses Spa ★★★★★

"Couldn't find many recent reviews on Porto Elounda so I thought I'd try and help out a little. It seems as though the hotel has increased listings with major UK tour operators for the 2025 season so the May half term has seen an increase in British guests. The setting is beautiful on Mirabello Bay and the restaurants all look out onto the shimmering expanse of blue. The hotel is positioned on a relatively steep hill but the resort has many golf buggies whizzing around if you're struggling with mobility. The rooms are spacious and the addition of private pools is a bonus for families. We stayed in the spa wing of the resort and the interiors are a little dated. They've tried to upweight the offering and modernise with ipads in the rooms which allow restaurant bookings. Bizarrely. they still have dvd players in the rooms. The maid service is very thorough and you get regular room tidying which is a big bonus. I would say that this resort caters for very young children nicely. For those with slightly older children like ours there is very little to do. There is no entertainment on offer within the resort and the focus is very much on dining. Elies beach bar is a lovely set up but sometimes the service let it down during lunch servings. The best part of the visit was the trips to the neighbouring restaurants on a boat journey. This was really spectacular at night and added a splash of luxury feel to it. My final sentiments are about cost. The bar prices are incredibly expensive which is prohibitive for some. €16 for an Aperol is unrealistic. If this is the pricing model then fine but at least add a Happy hour into it to stop the pool staff having to ask guests to purchase drinks. A lovely location but work to be done on becoming a true 5* resort."
