Fridley Creek Hideaway is situated on the oldest cattle ranch in Montana. In 1866 Nelson Story traveled to Texas where he bought 1,000 longhorn cattle. He and 13 tough cowboys trailed them from Texas to Montana arriving in the Bozeman area in December 1866. Around 1870 Story relocated the main headquarters of the ranch to the Emigrant area. The wrap around deck lends a spectacular view of Emigrant Peak. The house is nestled in trees and surrounded by old ranching equipment and outbuildings, giving it a unique western vibe. The creek is a short walk from the house and fishing access points on the Yellowstone River are a 5 minute drive north to the Emigrant fishing access. The house is great for a lucky couple or group of 6 people or less. The kitchen and large mudroom area are upstairs with a washer and dryer. The kitchen upstairs is spacious with a round table and bar area separating it from the upstairs living area. There are two bedrooms and that share a full bathroom. One queen room and one room with two twins. The basement was recently refinished with a beautiful and bright wooden floor and exposed brick. The living area has ping pong and comfortable seating.
