"It's about 15 minutes from Ena Station, so it's inconvenient to get there by train. If you have a car, I think it's a convenient location. I stayed in a single room, and there was breakfast and a large public bath, so I was able to relax. I think the price is on the cheaper side."

"I stayed here with my dog. As a result, bathing and breakfast are served one person at a time, but I like it because the food is delicious. When I went to take a bath, there was someone already in the smaller bathtub, so I felt a bit hesitant and only washed myself without getting in the water. There are no extra charges on weekends or during peak season, which is a great plus. Also, although I'm not usually that interested, "Gin no Mori" is very close by, so I can get their limited-quantity cookie tins just by going to the front of the store right before it opens, which is a nice little treat."

Although the room did not have a private toilet or bath, the shared toilet was very clean. The bathing area was quite small and couldn't accommodate many people at once. However, it was nice that it was available for use until 9:00 AM. The meals were all delicious. Dining by the irori was a rare and extraordinary experience, which I truly enjoyed. The river fish served was ayu (sweetfish). The staff checked on the grilling process several times. Both the Hida beef and the local vegetables were excellent. For breakfast, the dishes followed the "Mago wa Yasashii" (a balanced Japanese diet) concept, and they paired perfectly with rice, making me go for extra servings. The staff provided excellent and courteous service, and I would love to stay here again."

"This place is so beautiful, traditional style rooms and sliding doors, lots of natural wood. It felt like I was in a luxury hotel! The woman who ran in was so kind and friendly, I loved my stay here. I stayed here to hike a portion of the Nakasendo Way- Magome to Tsumago. It’s not close, you have to go to take like 2 or 3 transits to get there, I think it was like 2 hours to get there if I remember. It’s an old, traditional Japanese village- the buildings are really cool. There wasn’t much going on though while I was there, not many restaurants open. I ended up stocking up on food from 7/11 in Ena or Nakatsugawa I think it was to take back with me because there aren’t any stores like that in Iwamura that I found. You can get cash out from the ATM at the post office. This was a very peaceful place and a cool insight into a non-touristy area of Japanese life. Would definitely recommend this accommodation."
