We booked two rooms for our group and stayed here for one night on our way to visit the Cliffs of Moher. The hotel is centrally located in town, with two entrances leading to the reception area: one through the coffee shop on the ground floor and another via the side street. After hours, entry is only permitted through the side street door. An elevator inside the coffee shop provides access to the reception on the first floor and is accessible after hours. Upon exiting the elevator at reception, we immediately noticed a musty smell in the hallway. There are several fire doors along the route to the hotel rooms, which may block airflow. Our room, #117, was adjacent to the reception area and faced the main street. It appeared partially updated, featuring a newer bathroom. However, the bathroom door, which was a barn door style, did not close properly, resulting in a lack of privacy. The mattresses were incredibly uncomfortable, sagging, and provided little support. The pillows were flat and hard. The beds and pillows in the second room we booked on the second floor were similarly poor. The only mirror in the hotel was located in the bathroom, and there was no outlet for hair appliances—only one for a shaver, which is typical in Ireland. While there was an outlet in the room that could be used for a hairdryer (not provided by the hotel), the only mirror was in the bathroom, which was a distance away from the outlet. We requested an extension cord, hoping to get closer to the mirror to style our hair. We were told that someone would go downstairs to find one for us, but it never arrived. It was quite challenging to style hair without a mirror! Additionally, there were no hooks available to hang wet towels. The hotel lacked air conditioning, which is not unusual in Ireland or Europe. Despite requesting a fan multiple times at the reception, it never arrived. The room was uncomfortably hot, and while we tried to open the windows for ventilation, it was so noisy that we had to close them again. Even with the windows shut, there was excessive noise from the outdoor patio of the restaurant/bar across the street and traffic. This continued into the early morning hours, around 2:30-3:00 am, making sleep impossible. What truly disappointed us was the lack of customer service. Whenever we asked at reception about our requests for a fan and extension cord, we were repeatedly told that someone would go “downstairs” to look for them and would bring them to our room. Unfortunately, no one ever followed up with us to explain that they were unable to provide either item. At check-out, we expressed our concerns about these issues. We stayed at several hotels throughout Ireland, and every one of them provided fans (some even had air conditioning), mirrors placed near outlets, towel hooks, and earplugs available at locations near noisy pubs or streets. With some updates, such as new mattresses and pillows, the addition of mirrors and towel hooks, provision of fans, r
