Lusty BEG Island

The mattress was broken there was a broken spring,which almost cut the calf on my right leg, this was easily notable when bed was being made.SLOPPY HOUSEKEEPERS. There were only two large towels for shower,no hair towel. Curtains were so I’ll fitting the corona of light lit the whole room. If it wasn’t for the scenery that is what the”hotel”,I use the word loosely as it isn’t fit to be a decent b & b,the place could close down. Tatty around the edges,neglected. Seating is so uncomfortable it is like the whole place very second rate.

The island itself, it is beautiful here, the 6 person chalet was large enough to be comfortable with great views however, the "fully equipped Kitchen" had only 2 frypans and one pot, all with the handles falling off, no collander and other bits and pieces missing, vital to self catering which, we would have bought with us if we knew. completely inadequate for 5 people. I'm sure if we asked the staff they would have provided more but we were already in the midst of cooking by the time we discovered the lack. The downstairs bed was advertised as a queen but in reality was 2 singles pushed together, not so comfortable if you want to snuggle. The water pressure in the downstairs shower was terrible. 2 out of 3 activities we enquired after were supposedly "booked out" but when asking other staff we were told that they were just not being staffed that day after a hectic weekend (just tell the truth). I've been to a few resorts over the years, it seems like this one is on the wind down, pity as they have a great spot and the staff on the ground were very pleasant.

I took my family for dinner & arrived by boat The island & facilities are amazing but the service was so slow it took over 2 hours to get 2 courses & with two babies was very difficult The staff felt this was acceptable & argued with me there was no issue even though st the stage a complained it was over s hour after finishing out starter
