ViaVia Entebbe

The ViaVia in Entebbe is a nice place to stay upon your arrival or departure in/out of Entebbe. I spent two nights here in total, one on each end of my trip and very much enjoyed my stay. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was happy to assist (and even change my room at one point because of a noisy neighbour) whenever I requested. The restaurant provides some nice local and international meals which I thoroughly enjoyed, and the breakfast is delicious with ample choice for anyone as well. All in all, I can recommend to stay at the ViaVia whenever you’re in Entebbe.

This place is big and they offer a variety of things. However the service is very mixed. To be honest we wanted to give them 3,5. It’s not possible and therefore we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Service: it really depended which who you were talking. Some were very friendly others didn’t care that much. Rooms: spacious and very happy with a private bathroom. Bed was comfortable. They only clean when you ask for it. It is not necessary to clean every day, however we stayed 5 days and we believe after 3 days you at least need to check for the towels and bins. Amenities: 1) when we were there so many times we didn’t had any power (electricity). We heard some discussions of the staff about this. A bit weird. 2) there is a pool. The water is freezing cold and chairs are a bit hard. Still very nice to relax. 3) their restaurant garden is very nice and romantic. Overall food is good. We were pushed to pay the bills even though we were informed that we could pay when checking out. That was a bit strange. 4) they offer tours and stuff. We did one, it was okay-ish. It was to the capital. We didn’t like the end because all of the sudden the tour was finished but no one told us at what time we were supposedly to be done. 5) drop off and pick up service from the airport is very affordable. 6) option for a late check out that was very nice as we had a late flight. 7) a small store. Location: closely to the airport. A bit away from Kampala but we didn’t mind it at all. It truly felt like an oasis inside the tiny resort. Price: we paid less than €60 per night including breakfast.

Un lugar mágico! Entrar al país, ir al hotel y encontrarnos con esa naturaleza, el lago, los animales fue maravilloso. Hay monos, pájaros y animales en el hotel. Por la noche el ruido de la selva te saca una sonrisa. La gente del hotel es maravillosa, tienen piscina, la comida es excepcional y precios muy buenos. Repetimos una noche que teníamos programada dormir en otro lado

We loved the monkeys, the birds, the flowers, the sound of frogs at night and the hadada ibis in the morning - its a wildlife haven! Food was excellent, staff super friendly. The Swamp tour was exciting and exceptional for birds and we saw a Shoebill catch and eat a fish! The massage was AMAZING and really good value for money. Good live singer in the bar on Friday evening. Can't wait to come back!

We had the most incredible safari experience, all thanks to the amazing team at ViaVia Adventures. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Linda, who took care of every detail of our journey, is absolutely wonderful. Her communication was flawless, and she made sure every part of our adventure exceeded our expectations. The lodges were stunning, the activities were exciting, and the wildlife tracking was beyond our imagination. Every day was filled with new discoveries and unforgettable moments, all thanks to the careful planning of ViaVia Adventures. Our guide/ driver, Daniel, truly made the experience exceptional. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable and well-prepared but also had such enthusiasm and passion for the safari that it made each moment even more special. He was always attentive to our needs, and his love for nature (birds ;)) was infectious. We can’t thank Linda and Daniel enough for giving us the most wonderful safari experience. If you’re looking for a trip that’s thoughtfully organized, filled with adventure, and led by an amazing guide, look no further! This experience will stay with us forever. The perfect place to stay after a long flight. Some of the best food on our trip! Great warm shower and comfy bed! The view from the resturant was beautiful and the birds and monkeys constantly entertained us. Would reccomend! The live music and art displayed throughout were a nice touch :)
