Eriyadu Island Resort

Siamo stati in questa isola per 13 giorni , nona volta alle Maldive ma non mi era mai capitato di stare su un ‘isola/ cantiere. Metà isola e’ un cantiere e il 25/8 chiuderanno completamente per finire i lavori . La mia domanda è, perché ospitare clienti durante lavori di ristrutturazione, senza avvisare l’agenzia all’atto della prenotazione Tutto giorno e a volte fino a sera di sentivano trapani, martelli e barche enormi attraccavano al pontile scaricando i materiali per le nuove stanze . Situazione molto disagevole e scorretta! Situazione che meriterebbe un parziale rimborso Peccato perché il personale era molto gentile, il cibo ripetitivo ma buono.

This was our first vacation in the Maldives with my husband. Words cannot describe the heavenly pleasure we experienced! A stunning hotel, with everything you need in the rooms, an exit from the room directly to the beach - white, warm sand - you can literally walk barefoot all over the island! The island itself is small - you can walk around it in just 5-7 minutes. Along the way, you can meet crabs and herons) The reef is unimaginably beautiful! It seems we saw thousands of species of fish - from small to large, from black and white to multi-colored. What can we say about reef sharks and stingrays! An unforgettable feeling when you swim literally half a meter from them! We advise you to definitely take snorkeling masks and fins with you, and you can snorkel all day long. The hotel staff is very polite, friendly, always smiling and ready to help at any moment! I would especially like to mention our roomboy - Abir, he was the one who greeted us every day with a dazzling smile, and did an amazing job of cleaning the room! All the food was delicious, varied, and the waiters were polite. We were served by a lovely girl, Nuzufa, who did her job perfectly! In the hotel bar you can watch the breathtaking sunsets, as well as enjoy delicious drinks and chat with the friendly staff. From the excursions we took sunset fishing - we were lucky and caught several fish, which were prepared for us for dinner the next day) We also highly recommend trying night snorkeling - at first the idea of swimming in the night ocean with sharks and fish seems scary, but believe me, the sharks and fish don't care about you) Therefore, as Elsa, a girl from the dive center, says, "enjoy it!" It is worth noting that on the territory of the hotel there is a small souvenir shop with everything you need - sunscreen, toothpaste/toothbrushes, towels, swimsuits, various souvenirs, etc. Also, in rainy weather you can go to the gym or play table tennis or billiards) In general, we give the hotel 10 out of 10, thank the staff for an amazing holiday and wish you further prosperity! We hope to return to you next summer)

Wij hebben een paar heerlijke dagen gehad maar over de accommodatie hadden wij een ander beeld…helaas! We wisten dat er renovatie werkzaamheden plaatsvonden. Van de werkzaamheden zelf hadden wij qua herrie/geluid geen last. Het geeft echter wel een andere sfeer want het is wel aanwezig en denk dat de helft van de huisjes op de schop ligt. Er zijn nog maar 8 à 10 huisjes af denk ik en de rest is oud en ook echt aan vervanging toe. Wij kwamen erachter door het lezen van de reviews maar wordt verder door Eriyadu Resort niet gecommuniceerd, dat vind ik wel jammer. Een tegemoetkoming vind ik ook wel op zijn plaats en dan bedoel ik niet in korting maar hadden gasten bv wel een extraatje kunnen bieden. Minpunten: - ons huisje was zéér verouderd - Ranzige kussens op de ligbedden, zelfs bij de gerenoveerde huisjes - grote Bar aan strand vergane glorie en totaal geen sfeer - In het middelpunt van de huisjes worden oude materialen zoals oude meubels, stapels matrassen opgeslagen, ziet er alles behalve dan fraai uit. - 2 dames staan aanbieding uit de delen voor massage en na boeken blijkt dat je ruim 16 euro extra moet betalen voor inschrijfkosten en tax. Dat “vergeten” ze er dan bij te vertellen. Pluspunten: - zeer mooie plek - Mooi huisrif - Veelal vriendelijk personeel, in het bijzonder onze roomguy Abeer - Goede cleaning - Prima eten (snacks in de middag lekker maar stelt niet veel voor, keuze uit 2 bordjes) - Aankomst/vertrek prima geregeld De plek maakt veel goed maar het beeld van een droombestemming als compleet plaatje was het voor ons zeer zeker niet. Als we dit geweten hadden, hadden we zeker niet voor Eriyadu gekozen! Laatste opmerking is dat deze plek zeer gewild is bij de Russen. Hier kan de accommodatie niets aan doen maar wil het wel even vermelden.

Had a great week relaxing on this small, friendly island. The boat trip to and from the island takes around an hour. The boat crew are friendly and helpful. Food on the island is well cooked and tasty. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all buffet style. The restaurant staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Our beach bungalow had recently been refurbished and was kept clean and tidy by the room attendant. The only downside was that the bathroom was completely enclosed, so could get rather hot during the day. The house reef was great for snorkeling, with plenty of coral and a good variety of fish including the occasional reef shark. It is possible to circumnavigate the island in less than an hour. There was some refurbishment being done on parts of the island, but this did not impact on my enjoyment. Will definitely return in future.

All was perfect, Nuzufa was very kind and helpful. The sea was gorgeous and the food was good. There's currently work in progress. See you soon 👍🏻

We had a great and relaxing stay at Eriyadu. Fantastic snorkling with helpful and friendly Staff at Eurodivers. Our room was nice and kept spotless by Monowar. Really good and varied food in the restaurant where we were warmly welcomed and taken care of by Nuzufa. We would love to and hopefully will return some day.
