Amritara Riverside Camp

Misunderstood the word luxury camp- lacks basic facilities- Big Rip off and fooling guests Nothing luxury except location. Such a basic tent.. no luxury in amenities, service or food..Food is a rip off.. no spread and no varieties.. Ac not working, worst power fluctuations, its not a remote village and very much within town. Staff are not trained. The Manager, Suresh Babu, closed his ears and eyes for all complaints. Cleanliness is zero.. no housekeeping activities, not even thrash removal happening despite requesting .location is good.rest all needs lots of improvement.

Our 4 nights at Amritara were the best experience so far in India. The hospitality and friendliness is outstanding. From communicating with the manager to book to the friendly reception we received by Harikrishna to the delicious food Sunny cooked for us twice a day and the lovely housekeeping ladies, this was a highlight for us. The tents are beautiful, decorated with heavy teak furniture, comfortable bed and great balcony chairs, we had huge windows to view the river and the lush landscape. Bathrooms was very nice, fresh drinking water in the room as well. We especially enjoyed our morning bike ride with Harikrishna to the suspension bridge and a long walk in the adjacent village. It’s a bird watchers paradise. We definitely will come back one day to enjoy the serenity after being in Delhi and Kochi

Stayed 2 nights on Naturetrek tour. Pretty location overlooking river. Good birding immediately around camp area. Staff friendly, tried their best. The accommodation was awful, needs a lot of money spending to improve. Cleanliness so, so. Bedding clean but a bit old. The bathroom was horrible, shower didn’t really work, had to use bucket and jug, minimal hot water. Toilet cistern leaking which they’d attempted a repair with tape! The washbasin was dirty with tap hanging off. Communal area adequate, supposedly WiFi but that hardly worked. Only water available no soft drinks, food reasonable. We are frequent travellers & didn’t go expecting amazing facilities but did not expect this, even our lovely guide felt the same. Thank goodness we were only there for 2 nights so glad to leave.

Place requires more renovation..Tent stay was peaceful..Neatly maintained bathroom also. But dining area and food was average only.. Breakfast was good but dinner could have been better...Dusting required for watch tower..Sofas should be changed

Excellent hospitality - warm welcome were given to us in midst of the heavy rain. Nature friendly atmosphere with different variety of birds chirping and singing. Recreational and dining area in accordance with the taste of the guest . The tent given to us for staying was luxurious, peaceful & drove us to sleep after a long ride. Food was delicious and yummy and the careful attention given to each of us highlighted the excellency in the tourist field of 'Amritara'. Amritara is a seat of nature's bliss, a visit and stay in this resort is a great blessing

We spent two nights in one of the tents by the river, and it was an amazing experience! The view from the tent was very nice, we truly felt immersed in nature. The manager, Suresh, was incredibly kind and always available to fulfill our requests. I would definitely recommend this place!

Tranquil riverside location with friendly staff. A highlight for us was an evening nature walk with the manger Mr Suresh. The tent where we slept were well appointed with a riverside veranda and en suite bathroom. We enjoyed a trip on the bikes available at the property to visit the nearby Inchahotty Hanging Bridge.

The tents are hygienic and there is everything you need. Great food, beautiful nature and on top of that the host is amazing and helped us get the most out of the experience when we were here. He is really passionate and will talk to you about it the animals and customs of the local people.

Very good location near forest and river. A beautiful village to walk around. Those who want a refreshing nature break, it's perfect. No wifi or proper mobile data available in that area. property is little older but interiors are well maintained. You will not get a room boy to carry your luggage. No kettle in room. No room service. You have to do everything your own. Evening nature walk is good, but guide is not professional enough. But offcourse it's a camp more than a hotel. if you are considering it as a trekking, kayaking, Birds watching trip , it's so good. Food options are limited. Actually all other Amritara properties I visited have a very good food options to select from. Here you have to eat what ever they give. It's a refreshing trip. Mornings Cycling was exceptional. Only thing is you have to make yourself comfortable .
