📍 Kennford,

"The staff as always were very polite and friendly. We have used this hotel many times and it is now beginning to look tired and in need of an uplift. particularly in the garden areas around entrance doors to the blocks. However we will be back"

📍 Western Wy,

"Hotel clean, breakfast had a god variety of food location is great. Unfortunately we had an issue outside our bedroom which I reported to reception in the morning as I feel it is a security issue. In the middle of the night we had a man knock on our door and he tried to get in. He was walking up and down the corridor and appeared to be drunk. He then lay outside our room and fell asleep. About 30 minutes later we heard him again knock on another door. Although we think he was probably a resident it did concern us as anyone could get access to the bedrooms as there is no security to get up the stairs. There is no swipe card access and I think this needs to be addressed as it is a safety concern."

📍 3 Catherine St,

"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the cathedral in the city center. It has a rooftop bar, and there are many good restaurants nearby. However, the hygiene is quite average. I'm not sure if there were bugs, and the bed sheets sometimes had black stains, even after they were changed. Also, they placed the bath mat and body towels together, which was uncomfortable. There was one housekeeper, a blonde middle-aged woman, whose service was very poor. When she saw I was non-white, her expression was very subtle, as if serving a non-white person was something very embarrassing for her. And she didn't change the bed sheets as I requested. But the front desk staff were all very friendly, and the hotel room facilities were also good. It's just the hygiene and housekeeping service that could be much better."

📍 66 South St,

"First room that they give it to me was not clean, heater was half cold and make big balloting noise, Then one night after I make complain they change me in another room, where bathroom was not clean and room was smelling bad. The manager from reception was not friendly talking, like I was obliged to accept the conditions. Then they don't explain wich room is with shower and wich have bath...anyway bad experience. I don't recomand, for this price you can find better options."

"Really happy with the room and the member of staff who checked us in was really friendly and explained everything. It's a shame the bar and restaurant is not open I could see real potential there. Local restaurants nearby so not a problem"

Exeter Rougemont hotel by Sunday ★★★★

"It is rare nowadays to find a hotel and eaterie that goes out of its way to be helpful and accommodating. Everybody here, without exception, has been so welcoming and they really set the bar high in terms of customer service."

"We arrived late on Friday 29th August 2026 around 930pm ish. When we opened our room door 215 we were hit with a very very strong smell of cigare. It was so bad I couldn't sleep at all. Even with the window opened. Obviously the previous guests had been smoking in a non smoking room but I would have thought the cleaner would have opened the window to air it. It took 2 nights with the window open all day and night before it went away. But we could still smell it on the sheets etc. We didnt report this as it was self check in when we arrived . Its a shame as its ideally located for the train station Thats the main reason for staying there instead of the Leonardo"
