"This “Songshu Inn” (“Squirrel Hotel” on the actual sign) is next to the entrance to the “seven-colored forest” - a surprisingly fun and family-friendly place to visit in the summer, well, at least for families who do not come from the actual prairie. Mostly domestic travelers but that should be a taken at such a lesser-known location internationally. Still, we ended up staying an extra day to visit nearby theme parks. As someone who had spent more than a year in business/resort hotels all over the world, all I want to say that the hospitality of the hotel staff truly exceeded my expectations."

The homestay is located in Datan Village, Datan Town, Chengde Manchu Autonomous County, Hebei Province. Guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains in the courtyard. The homestay rooms are mainly white with a natural wood color scheme, without complex decorations and are simple and clean. Compared to traditional farmhouses, the entire 2-acre courtyard has a touch of petty bourgeoisie atmosphere. The parking is convenient, and each room is very cozy.
