Riad Dar Arsama

Mil gracias a Violeta, Adil y su equipo por los detalles y cuidados que raramente un anfitrión puede dar. Dar Arsama esta muy bien ubicado en la médina de Fes, lindo Riad renovado con amor, los tours, la comida de calidad y una noche en el desierto inolvidable.

Our stay in Dar Arsama was very disappointing. We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights and while the welcome and introductions were cordial, To start, one of the rooms would not close due to alignment and therefore could not be locked. That room would not cool even with the AC being turned on. This is understandable, as this is a 400 year old renovated home, but the owner saw this issue and said that someone would come and fix it. However that never happened. A few loose tiles on the steep steps pose a safety risk. Ilhan and her partner prepared a savory excellent breakfast and her dinner was exceptional. This was the saving grace. Additionally , we requested arrangement for a day trip to Chefchaouen through the owners , as that is the suggested method by most travelers in Fez. The van that was sent was an old creaky one that never had a working Air Conditioning, we find out 20 minutes into our drive. On the top of it the driver did not speak any English and so the communication was nearly Zero. Upon our return to , when we spoke to Violeta, the owner, her response was unapologetically "well, you got to ChefChaouen didn't you , so you have the pay the full price". We returned exhausted around 930pm to discover that there was no hot water in both the rooms and the owners responded to our texts only after 11:30pm Be aware that the breakfast is served from 830am onwards and if you have to leave earlier, you are offered yogurt, orange juice, soft cookies. We would not recommend this place because in addition to all issues with the room and vehicle, Violeta's response is completely unacceptable.

Fue un viaje maravilloso. Para repetir. DAR ARSAMA. Riad familiar o individual en la Medina de Fez. Excelente Riad y excelentes personas. Perfecta relación calidad precio. Española y marroquí Violeta y Adil. Empatía, corazón y saber hacer. La ciudad Fez: preciosa e inolvidable.

A wonderful little place in the heart of Fes. We arrived in the city by train and took a taxi to the Blue Gate. We gave them a heads up and as soon as we arrived, there was already someone waiting to escort us to the hotel. We didn't have any small change for the taxi, but they graciously helped us pay (we paid them back later). The place is about a 10 min walk from the Blue Gate and is right in the middle of the Medina. The stairs are quite narrow, but the place overall is gorgeous. Intricately decorated and perfect for a romantic stay. Plenty of hot water and the beds are very comfortable. We were given some tea and snacks on arrival, as well as a fantastic breakfast the next morning. They are extremely helpful and can arrange anything you need.

Look no further when you want to stay in Fes. This 400 year old Riad that has been restored by none other than the owner Violeta and her husband Adil. The couple are extraordinarily hospitable. They are such good cooks. They serve you a delicious hot dinner if you want. We didn't look for food outside as their food was so delicious and the spread was magnificent. The room was very clean and updated. A delicious and fresh breakfast spread is included in the cost of the room. Very strong wifi connection. The dinner is priced very reasonably for the spread and quality. The taste was priceless. They offer you laundry services for a very nominal charge as well. I highly recommend this riad. Look no further.

Muy mala experiencia en el riad. Adil y violeta nos hacían un desayuno que me entraba cagalera por decirlo así. Seguidamente el primer día te manda un día a comer que es carísimo(para cobrar comisiones) luego el siguiente día lo mismo un guía que te come la cabeza enseñándote tonterías y llevándote a comer a lugares caros.
