Cheaper option in Flom. It was clean, the room is small and basic. OK I would say for a maximum of two nights. We had a fjord view room which I think is worth it as it madevthe room feel less small. The shower was very small and flooded the tiny bathroom. We had two small single beds that were comfortable but I was worried about fall out. Despite the walls being very thin thankfully there was no noise from other guests. The food was good and nicely presented. There is not real lounge area to sit after dinner and the only place we found to go was the Viking pub in the centre about a 10 minute walk. There is free tea and coffee all day in reception as no facilities in the room

Après la fantastique descente en train depuis Myrdal arrivée à Flåm Superbe endroit avec une magnifique vue sur le fjord. Accueil sympathique et dîner local servi de façon charmante avec le sourire de notre hôtesse. Cette pension est havre de paix.

There’s not a lot of selection in Flam, so we took what we could find. This was just ok. We got stuck in a room on the bottom floor at the end, which had minimum amenities and walls thin enough to hear the snoring from the guy in the next room. The view was nice because it was further away from the “town” center, so it didn’t get blocked by the cruise ship that pulled in, but that can remedied by a little trek around the harbor. Breakfast was minimal and the eggs were gone by the time we arrived, around 8:30. Dinner was good, but one option, if you’re looking for choices. If I were return, I’d explore other options.

We enjoyed our stay at this guest house so much. A very sweet hotel with amazing views. We had dinner in the hotel one night and it was beautiful. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great every day, and if you’re going hiking, you can make a sandwich from the breakfast buffet for a small extra charge and take it with you. This was so helpful. Very comfortable bed. Both mornings, we sat on the front porch and enjoyed our coffee after breakfast. Flåm is such a sweet little place so you can walk everywhere from the hotel. There’s a tiny little beach right across the street from the hotel where my daughter went swimming both mornings. Absolutely beautiful. If I found myself in Norway again, I would absolutely return to this gem. We had two nights and one full day in Flam, but I wish I had had one more day.

This hotel is a lengthy walk from the train station. Thankfully, it is a gorgeous walk! We were greeted by a less than enthusiastic young woman behind the counter. We had booked two rooms. She asked what time we’d like dinner. We told her a time, but after noticing that the menu is set for dinner, we decided to go elsewhere (go to the Flam Marina to eat!). Our room was tidy and clean. The bathroom was very small with a shower that had to be “put together”. The water from the shower would flood the bathroom after each use. We opened the small window in the shower, but were immediately inundated with flies. There’s definitely a nest of sorts by the window. Breakfast was uneventful. Not many food offerings in the cramped buffet area. They were out of yogurt, and because the employees were gathered in the kitchen talking, I told the front desk young woman. She was less than happy with me telling her that they were out of yogurt. I was surprised by her lack of being kind. We booked our vacation through Firebird, and our information from Firebird told us check-out was at 12pm. After using the floating sauna and jumping in the fjord, we went into town for coffee and pastries. We got back to the hotel at 10:45am to shower and pack to take a ferry to Bergen. At 11am, the front desk woman knocked on our door asking when we were leaving. I didn’t open the door as I had just gotten out of the shower. I told her through the door that we’d be out soon. Then at 11:30am there was another knock at the door. My husband opened it to the same woman rudely saying we must leave the hotel or she would have to charge us. I told her I thought check-out was at 12pm via Firebird, and her response was “Check-out has always been at 11am” and she left. I checked the signage in the room and nothing said check-out was at 11am. We quickly left our room within 3 minutes and had our adult daughters leave their room within 5 minutes. I would not recommend staying here. The only plus is the view from the room. The employees, breakfast, and bathroom are less than desired. We will be back to Flam to bike and will stay elsewhere. There are better options.

Struttura piccola vista fiordo. posizione perfetta, poco distante dalla fernata del treno e con un magnifico panorama. Tuttavia le camere sono piccolissime ed il bagno ancora di piu, oltre ad essere privo di finestre. Il personale non é particolarmente gentile: sia la ragazza della reception che quella nella sala ristorante sembrava ci facessero un gran favore ad essere lì a lavorare. Davvero incredibile percepire una agitazione simile in un posto cosi speciale.
