Lismoyne Hotel

Lovely stay. Good value for money. Good location. I was surprised to be charged £5 to park the car overnight as the car park is owned by the hotel. Although this is a reasonable price there was no mention of this when booking. The walls are very thin so we could hear a lot of noise from the next room. Would happily stay again.

We had the worst Room in this establishment Room 22 which is squeezed right in the top 3rd Floor Corner at the top of the Fire Escape sort of Triangular shaped only just managing to get a double bed in it Up 3 flights of very narrow steep steps We had to beg for some tea bags at reception The TV didnt work correctly kept loosing signal on BBC1 The Safe was broken The Shower ran from scalding to Cold intermittently Only Bar Snacks available so had to walk down the Town for a proper Restaurant (after long Journey) Wash Basin Taps from nothing to full on unexpectedly Staff were less than hospitable No welcome No have you had a nice stay Cold Coffee at Breakfast and you had to ask for everything ie Scrambled Eggs everything seemed to be to much trouble At £110 a night then Parking Charge £5 a night plus Breakfast at £15 a day outrageous No way is this a 4 star Hotel if the Hotel Inspector visited I would guess she would struggle to Rate it 1 star Yes we should have Complained and perhaps got moved but how on earth can they list this as a suitable Room to Rent out in the first place We couldn’t wait to get out such an awful place We could have put up with a lot of the very dated decor but Staff and Facilities were truly awful for the Money A Big Big No No I wouldn’t be surprised if this place doesn’t last much longer It’s a shame because with just a few straightforward changes which wouldn’t cost the Earth they could get return business I guess it’s mainly New Business with unsuspecting gullible customers like us getting ripped off Will never visit again Stay Clear Les and Jo

we didn't stay but we had a celebration lunch. It was beautifully organised by Kim , the events coordinator and held in a marquee in the garden we were impressed by the whole experience and our 59 guests were full of positive comments on the delicious food and service and helpfulness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and we would not hesitate to recommend the Lismoyne.
