Fantastic beachfront location with beautiful sunset. Spacious apartment and terrace, very well equipped! Lovely beach and pool area. Walkable distance to supermarket and restaurants. Hugo & Henrietta very helpful and responsive. Would definitely come again.

Filthy, dangerous penthouse apartment. The level of cleanliness coupled with noisy building works and dangerous electrics made for an extremely disappointing stay - so much so we abandoned the premises as soon as we could and salvaged our holiday elsewhere. We were in A5 and on first impression a good spacious, beachfront apartment but soon discovered: *Large noisy construction site behind the property - 7 days a week 8am til mid evening. We came for a peaceful holiday but received constant banging, power tools etc. *Outside dangerous lights which sparked due to water in the electrics. This was highlighted to management but not remedied therefore we had no patio lighting for the duration of our stay. *Internal electrical faults. No use of internal sockets which were fixed but then failed intermittently. *Filthy external loungers. Totally unacceptable to expect guests to tolerate this level of uncleanliness. And only 2 provided for a 6-person apartment. Also no parasol. *Ripped and stained old external chairs. *Heavily stained internal furnishings - sofas and furniture. *Cleanliness issues throughout including dirty, stained towels. *Dirty plunge pool. Had not been cleaned prior to arrival and filter not working. Communal pool also dirty with inadequate sun loungers for size of complex. We raised our complaints direct with management but communication was poor to non-existent whilst we were there. Please do not believe marketing stating the apartment is “brand new” - it’s 18 years old and very tired! Please also do not believe “it is fit for 5-star travellers” - this particular apartment was not fit for any travellers! And do not fall for “high-quality furnishings and beautiful interiors” which couldn’t be further from the truth. In response to my complaint, Horizon did apologise and acknowledged they should have made us aware of the building works and they also apologised for the poor electrics saying they would be given “utmost priority to ensure the safety of future guests”. They also said the outside furniture would be replaced and general cleanliness would be tackled with a deep clean. They also apologised for not addressing concerns more promptly and for “lack of clarity or responsiveness”. Unfortunately, the promised improvements (which I hope have been addressed) were of no consequence to us and after putting up with the conditions for 7 nights, we moved out at considerable extra expense to us. We were offered a meagre 25% refund by Horizon but managed to gain more by taking the matter up with our bank. We had a 12-night stay in Mauritius but sadly have wiped out the first 7 nights due accommodation which was not fit for purpose which we booked due to misleading marketing.

This is the 4th property on the West Coast managed by Horizon Holidays that we have stayed at and it is definitely one of the best! The property is in the most perfect location, over 3km of beach in both directions, we took wonderful morning walks both sides. The ocean front has been cleared mostly of dead coral and you can wade in deep and swim safely behind buoys set far out. The ocean access at Cap Ouest is actually better than what the resorts next door have! The Penthouse unit C5 we stayed in was wonderful, has everything you need, very efficient aircons in the living areas which is uncommon in self catering. Also comes with a super gas braai that we used every night. Beds were huge and comfortable, bathrooms very well laid out with big showers and decent water pressure. Kitchen has everything you need. The deck and it's pool are amazing and was such a treat getting to relax and watch the sunset. Big shout out to Jeremy for attending to any queries super promptly, to Hugo for assisting me in arranging things prior to our arrival and to Cataline and her super team for going above and beyond in keeping the place sparkling (even the grill!). We felt like VIPs with the treatment we got from everyone, and the little bonus cat mascot was a lovely addition. Anyone considering booking here should get those dates secured, you can't go wrong with Cap Ouest! Hello everyone! We are currently on holiday here! A great option for holiday in this location, we are located on the first floor of the villa, direct access to the ocean, the house has everything you need for relaxation and life, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, TV, air conditioners, refrigerator. It is better to use special shoes to enter the ocean, there are luxury hotels nearby, only apartment guests are on the beach. Restaurants, bars, and snack bars are within walking distance (10 minutes on foot). A large supermarket is 5-7 minutes away by car. Summary: Good value for money. Special thanks to manager Jeremy, a person who approaches his work professionally and is very responsive!

Very nice Its is a very nice apartment and well equipped. The view is fantastic and is quite and nice place. The staff is helpful and will make sure you have the best holiday.

Die beste Unterkunft, die man sich vorstellen kann (zumindest in Flic en Flac), alle Angestellten sehr freundlich. Das Apartment war blitzsauber und gemütlich eingerichtet, in der Küche fanden sich alle Geräte, die man brauchen könnte (wurden aber gar nicht alle benötigt). Der Balkon war etwas schmal, aber man konnte die gesamte Glasfront öffnen und damit mehr Raum schaffen. Der Strand direkt vor dem Gebäude, sehr schön und nie überfüllt. Um ins Wasser zu gehen sollte man Badeschuhe anziehen, denn Steine und Korallenreste können ganz schön unangenehm sein, wenn man draufsteigt. Aber ansonsten perfekt zum Schwimmen und Schnorcheln.
