The owner was very friendly and helpful - and she spoke good english. We got good advice about the city's attractions and transportation. The room was clean and we also liked the big balcony. The breakfast was very good and there was enough of it.

I had a great stay! The owners were so helpful and friendly, and I really appreciate the personal touch - including serving breakfast! It was a great location and worked really well as a solo traveler. The tram was a block away and there were restaurants and other things close by.

Perfect for solo traveling. Safe, convenient and GREAT HOSTS. Within a few minutes to city centre by tram, I really enjoyed the slower pace. You can buy the tram tickets at the accommodation. If you’re big on breakfast, it won’t satisfy you. But who is, when you have a whole city for that. Grab a coffee before you leave in the mornings.

Our stay was wonderful! Amazing host that made us feel like family. The room was clean and had everything we needed and the host gave us wonderful suggestions for places to go out for food. This was definitely a highlight in the many rooms we stayed at in Italy!

A great place to stay, well located, near the train station to downtown, with a supermarket nearby and several good places to eat. Lara and Lorenzo are very welcoming, kind and attentive, and are always available in case of any problem. The balcony is great for having lunch or dinner, or just a coffee.

I stayed in Il Grillo di Firenze during my third visit to Florence. This was the best accommodation. The B&B is well situated on a tram line giving access to the city center and the Firenze airport. Caring, informative, and gracious hosts. The neighborhood is quiet and 10-15 minutes away from Firenze SMN train station via tram. The B&B included a satisfying breakfast to start a day of tourism.

This was the best place to stay if you're coming to Florence! The rooms were clean, and the location was very close to public transportation. Lara and Lorenzo were the best hosts we could ask for ! They were very kind and very helpful! Breakfast was always delicious! Next time we come to Italy I will be staying here!
