Large Group Retreat w/ secluded party room and private pool

Place is in a state of disarray and should not be rented until repairs are made. Air conditioning is not functioning in the party room, heat on hot tub does not work, most chairs around the pool are broken, we had to buy toilet paper and paper towels, pots and pans in cabinets had not been washed and lights all over the house were out to include overhead lights in the kitchen.

Amazing place for a celebration w/different people This place is extremely impressive and was clearly made for parties. We stayed 4 nights for a 50th birthday with a mix of 12-14 friends, relatives and kids. The main house is very nice, clean, and air conditioned, and was perfect to allow kids and people wanting to go to bed earlier to get a great nights sleep and be happy. Meanwhile, the people who wanted to party all night could be in the party house having a great old time and not disturb those other folks at all. The party house is appropriately named and is just not as clean as the main house which is very nice. The party house has amazing facilities for playing games watching movies, and hanging out - it’s just not nice the same way the main house is and I think that is why some other people have left not such great reviews a few times. If you just focus on the fact that it’s pretty amazing that you have a whole separate house here that people can drink and be noisy while not bothering your guests who want to sleep in the main house I think you will understand why we really didn’t care at all that the party house was not as neat as the main one. Then we get to the pool. The pool is amazing. It would be nice if the overflow water in the grotto was a true hot tub, but there is one of those in the bathroom of the master bedroom if you really want that. The pool is huge and really fun with swim up bar area and for the daring a very high platform to jump into the deep end. The neighborhood is just so so but fine.

Good spot for weekend with large group! From the beginning, I was really impressed with the easy communication with the property manager. They responded very quickly when we communicated some issues upon arriving. This house was perfect for what we needed it for, 16 friends wanting to hang out for NYE. However, the house definitely had a run down feel. Many of the lights did not turn on, including one bedroom that did not have any working lights and multiple light fixtures in the kitchen that only had a few working bulbs. The dishes had also not been cleaned from the previous guests and some of the bath towels had noticeable marks and stains on them (the property manager did send over new towels when we asked). The game room was a lot of fun to spend time in, however when we checked in we were notified that both bathrooms in the game room were not working. The only other bathrooms were in the main house and you had to walk through a non-screened in porch to get there. With 16 people having to walk back and forth in the cold, this was definitely not ideal. A positive note is that the beds were very comfortable in each room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but wish that the house was maintained a little bit more.

Great party house Really cool property! The house could use some TLC, just certain odds and ends that didn’t work or were damaged. But really had a great time, and the hosts always got back to me. This is the perfect house for a big party. Thank you for having us.

Fox Lake Overall the experience was great, the owner of this property was very responsive and nice to recommend a few local spots. The property is fantastic, but could use a bit more TLC. Ex not all the lights worked, outside was messy & the pool was not full. When you pay a lot of $ you expect everything to be as advertised. Other than that the weekend was great.

Perfect Party House Great for large groups! Even in the winter! Just as much fun on the inside as it is on the outside!
