Colston Hall Cottages

Unexpected overnight stay. Owners very helpful and communicative. Room very well planned and comfortable. Tea and coffee in room, tv, proper cotton bedding. Good internet. Spotlessly clean. Instant hot water and excellent shower. Tasty varied breakfast and good coffee. Lovely surroundings. Super countryside haven. Highly recommend - and a big thank you for a relaxing stay.

It was terrible. The hotel owners were terribly unhelpful and unkind. I was travelling solo and stranded in a flooded road 3 minutes away from the hotel and called to inform the owners. I was terrified and in need of help. They did nothing to help me and left me stranded and did not communicate to me that there was any alternative way of getting there. Hopefully karma will come around and these people will learn how to treat their guests with decency.

Just got back from a two night stay at Colston Hall Bed and Breakfast and had a great experience. This was our first experience of a B&B and we weren’t disappointed. The house is 16th century with lots of character low ceilings and narrow stairs and a very unique feel about it. The room we stayed in was the Little Maids room and we were extremely comfortable, it doesn’t have a shower but does have a bath which made a nice change for us. So much choice for breakfast, cereals fruit, and a home cooked breakfast if required which was lovely. We will definitely stay here again so that we can explore the Suffolk countryside.

Wonderful place, owners made us both feel very welcome, beds very comfy, room cosy. Room well catered for all needs Breakfast excellent, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore this lovely area of Suffolk.
