Amazing Honeymoon stay! Highly recommend
An amazing stay at Last Word. The attention to detail of the staff was outstanding and the small details really made our stay memorable. They understood our itinerary and helped us plan our days, making sure we made the most of our stay. The room was so spacious and homely. I would highly recommend this guest house! Perfect location and within walking distance to wine tram, restaurants and very short (and cheap) uber to local vineyards.

Dieses Boutique Hotel mitten in Franschhoek hat uns vollkommen begeistert. Es ist mit so viel Herz und Liebe zum Detail gestaltet – jedes Zimmer ist individuell und einzigartig eingerichtet, was dem Aufenthalt eine ganz besondere Note verleiht. Der Pool und die Sonnenterrasse im ersten Stock laden zum Entspannen ein, und das gesamte Team war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Das Frühstück war ein absolutes Highlight und ließ wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen definitiv gerne wieder!

Tolles Boutique Hotel mit ganz viel Herzblut und Wärme. Der Gastgeber Konrad ist wie das gesamte Team immer hilfsbereit und überrascht mit tollen Ideen. Es wird alles mit Liebe geregelt. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und die „Honesty Bar“ ist genial. Optisch ist die Lounge und der Poolbereich geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles ist sauber.

We recently stayed at The Last Word Franschhoek and were truly impressed by the experience. The décor is elegant and calming, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. The staff were absolutely outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Every interaction felt personal and thoughtful. Special little touches like the turndown service made it special, returning to little treats like crème brûlée and hot chocolate in the evening was such a lovely surprise, and the gin & tonic station in the room along with yoga mat & weights added to the delight. The location couldn’t be better—right on the main street, with restaurants, boutiques, and galleries just a short stroll away. It made exploring the town incredibly easy and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet relaxed place to stay in the heart of Franschhoek, I highly recommend The Last Word. It truly lives up to its name.

Franklin and his team understand hospitality. We felt so welcome and so looked after, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is stunning with beautiful boutique interiors and a bar with everything you could want. The room we had was a pool suite and it was huge! The beds were super comfy and again the mini bar was so well stocked it was brilliant. The breakfasts are to die for! Try the French toast… This place is special and it’s Franklin and his team that make it so. We will be back!

A stunning boutique hotel right in the heart of beautiful Franschhoek! The room was very large and spacious, fitted out very tastefully! I was expecting a private patio which I didn’t get but I didn’t spend much time in the hotel for other reasons. The breakfast was extensive and very nice. I did get the feeling that the staff at breakfast were a little reluctant to chat to me so that part spoilt it for me. There seemed to be a little lack of soul about the place. However, it is a very lovely place and Franklin, in particular, was very helpful and kind.

This is an outstanding hotel. Conrad and his team went out of their way to ensure that guests were looked after, and were always on hand to offer advice or help with bookings. The decor of the hotel is tasteful, bright and welcoming. There is an honesty bar with a plentiful supply of drinks. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel only caters for B&B, but restaurant advice was comprehensive. We were delighted with our room which was huge, and superbly furnished. We had a late flight, but were looked after until our pick up. Our fellow guests were equally effusive in their praise. A memorable experience!

We had a wonderful stay at the Last Word. Franklin, Conrad and the whole team couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome, at home and offered to help with all aspects of our trip plans.
The hotel decor and facilities surpassed expectations. We had an amazing few nights sleep, the room felt very premium and the bathroom was incredible!
Overall, we felt the hotel was worth far more than what we paid and can’t wait to return!
