Comfortable and great location
Great location just a few minutes stroll to Franschhoek cafes and restaurants. Warm and friendly welcome from Carol and Johannes and the other staff.
The room was comfortable but would benefit from a spruce up as looked a bit tired, particularly the bathroom. Also there was a very strange smell coming from the bathroom but this could well have been from drains.

Lovely old Dutch Cape home converted into a bed and breakfast. Only one block from the main street with ample parking.

Perfect stay for our family of 4 (mum, dad, two kids aged 8 and 10). Lovely setting that is a literal 5 minute walk to the main road, but very calm and quiet. Kids loved the pull and the bean bags in the garden. Loads of seating to relax with a book around the pool. Large, light and spacious room. Brilliant breakfast. Such friendly and sweet staff members. Good value for money in Franschoek. We would 100% recommend Mont d'Or and would stay there again without hesitation.

This was a lovely guest house with convenient parking and was very close to the main drag in Franschhoek. The host Johannes was very kind and helped make me feel welcome.

Nice little guest house ,room was clean and tidy decent size garden was lovely you recieve a little patio onto the garden with a pool all rooms surround pretty garden Enjoyed our stay Johannes helped when I needed info (manager ) friendly guy Carol the owner we did not see other than arrival no complaints and well situated in franshoek ,staff were all friendly enjoyed our stay

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was lovely. A short walk into the centre where shops and restaurants available. We went on the wine tram and also did an ebike wine tour which was great fun. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely with lots of options. The room was lovely although bathroom a little dated and due to the tin roof on the building when it was windy in the evening a tree continued to bang on the roof through the night. Still slept relatively well. Would stay again.

Very charming B&B. We got the last 2 rooms available and they were a basic room and bathroom with coffee and mini fridge. They were clean and comfortable and located in the main building. The back porch, courtyard and pool is very lovely. Many guest were lounging by the pool when we arrived. The rooms which surrounded had a little front porch that faced the pool and fountain. The breakfast was wonderful and the service was top notch. We received many dining recommendations that were spot on. They also suggested a driver, JJ, who we used that night and all day the next day. He was fantastic. It’s a perfect location to all things in town.

We had a lovely stay. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Our loft room, though a bit difficult to get up and down the staircase (definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility issues), was cosy and clean. The breakfast was great and swimming pool also very refreshing in the heat commonly experienced in Franschoek. Very centrally located in town, so it was also a convenient location with easy parking
