Days Inn by Wyndham Winchester

Pros: staff was pleasant and honest. They worked to get us a double room because there were none left. The shower was not working 100% so they let me go into the room and look at everything to see if it was ok for us which was nice of them. They willingly lowered the price a bit to make up for the imperfect room which was great. Good budget option which fit our immediate need, which was just a place to sleep for the night. Cons: We were in room 121. The wifi would constantly lose connectivity, possibly because this room is almost as far as you can get from the office. We only stayed awake for about an hour so it didn't matter much for us, but it might for you. The room felt a little run down. The chair looked a bit old and didn't really roll on the floor despite having roll wheels. The door in the bathroom had spots that had been repainted but it looked off because you could see the color difference. The towel rack in the bathroom had been damaged, someone bent it down and that's how it stayed. Despite them saying there was an issue with the shower it seemed to work fine. Conclusion: this is a good room for a quick night's sleep then back on the road. The internet and the aesthetics may be a concern for you. The price is right if you don't mind the cons.

When requested extra pillows (there were only 3, and they were super fluffy and small), we were questioned about how many people were in the room. I said the same amount there was when we checked in, 2, and I’d like another pillow. 3 isn’t enough for a king size bed nor two adults. Had to go to the desk to get them after requesting they be brought to us. The outlets did not work on one side of the room, thus less accessibility for lamps and charging devices were more inconvenient. The room was clean for the most part, but had a funky smell upon arrival. Several times before checkout at 11, we were questioned about when we were leaving (I clarified, 11, checkout time and cleared that in exit survey). Lastly, there are many suspicious persons around the exterior of the hotel at all hours of the night. The cost matches the expectations, however. Not high quality, but we expected that. Was disappointed in the outlets, the attitude, and the safety of our stay.

Staff was friendly and service was great. Room was clean, hallway was not quite as clean.
