The Dietzel

Loved this motel! charming! clean! room was good size! floor to ceiling windows!The back view is beautiful! we saw deer! bed was comfy! Cool dresser built into the wall! vanity area! real keys! We didn't use it, but the pool was clean and looked great! away from the bustle of town! I can't wait to go back! very cool place!

Came here for an overnight trip. Room was basic and comfortable. Beds so comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. Like my room, all rooms have a view of a lovely open field. Only issue I had was a leaky toilet. Parking is just right in front of your room. Location is fine, but you'd have to drive to the center of town for most of everything.

Older motel. Very clean, throwback from yesteryear. Staff was friendly. Rooms quaint and clean. Even the ac unit filter was clean. Step back in time with this one not close to downtown so you can't wall but it is worth it for the quiet at nigjt.

As we already know this motel from to previous stays some years ago the "Dietzel Motel" was our first choice to ask for a room . As we entered the lobby on a saturday the very friendly and helpful woman working there offered us a room - and the price was really fair ! Of course , more expensive than during the week what is usual but still ok ( compared to other motels in Fredericksburg ) and worth the money ! Our room was equipped with everything you need and extremely clean ! There's also a very nice and well maintained pool outside which we enjoyed to use ! In the morning free coffee is offered at the lobby and wifi is very fast ! What we liked most : the atmosphere here ! You' ll love it ! By the way , we spent two nights here and met another very friendly and helpful woman working at the front desk - and had a nice smalltalk . You feel being welcome here ! Thanks to the management for offering still fair prices even on weekends here ! Without having got a room in the "Dietzel Motel " we wouldn't have spent the night in Fredericksburg ! Upon arrival at this motel we dodged numerous deep potholes that dotted the entire driveway from both entrances. Once checked in to our assigned room we found it to be very dated, but also very clean {which was the factor that salvaged the rating). Our mattress was uncomfortable and needs to be upgraded. The TV was a small screen with a limited number of channels available for viewing. However, overall this place was very accommodating with most of the basics, although a bit overpriced.
