James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast

My wife and I had such an amazing stay! We stayed in the Pine Room which I would highly recommend. It was super roomy and cozy and had such a nice backyard deck where we saw and heard so much wildlife. Bill and Mary Ann are wonderful hosts and were super accommodating to all our needs. They also gave us some great recommendations and are super knowledgeable about the area. As far as breakfast, Bill is a wizard in the kitchen. Breakfast every morning was so amazing and kept us powered for our daily activities. All in all, James Place Inn was the perfect place for our first trip to Maine and we will definitely be back in the future.

I was thrilled to be supporting my local women’s basketball team (Smith College, Northampton MA) by attending the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight tournament (Smith won both games!) at Bowdoin College in Brunswick ME. It was such a delight finding James Place Inn to stay in Freeport and what a wonderful and warm welcome from the best innkeepers, Bill and Mary Ann! Both Bill and Mary Ann are genuinely caring and really made me feel at home. I stayed in the Pine Room, and enjoyed the coziness of the room and the toasty fireplace. Everything was clean, plenty of water for my water bottle refills, reliable Wi-Fi, and the breakfasts were delicious. I will definitely stay again and would highly recommend JPI to anyone else traveling to Freeport/Brunswick.

Great Freeport Overnight Beautiful bed and breakfast convenient to downtown Freeport. Our room was comfortable, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. We were able to use the electric car charger, and Bill cooked a gluten free breakfast for me.

Wonderful stay! The property was beautifully landscaped, the Inn was lovely, well maintained and comfortable. Our Hosts were friendly and helpful in offering places and guides to Freeport and it’s offerings. Breakfast was AMAZING. Quite the best of Inns we have stayed at.

Great B and B! This B and B was outstanding for attention to detail, immaculate condition and cleanliness. Their breakfast was delicious with a start of fresh fruit and scones, and a great breakfast burrito that day. A short walk to LLBean, it’s near all the attractions in Freeport. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. It was a real pleasure to stay there!

My husband and I recently spent a night here and we had a fantastic experience. We stayed in the Blue room and found it to be very charming and cozy. The owners Bill and Mary Ann were wonderful hosts. Bill picked us up at the train station to save us from having to carry luggage up a steep hill, and he made a delicious breakfast for us. The inn is in the perfect location for accessing the many shops and restaurants in Freeport. I highly recommend the James Place Inn, and we hope to stay there again in the near future!
