Bird Rock Hotel

Years ago this place was incredibly welcoming with a friendly lobby, continental breakfast with homemade scones, cookies and lemonade in the afternoon and you would get the best sleep in the most comfortable bed ever. The experience is different now and not the five star rating I gave it in the past. The bed felt like it had a broken spring, the pillows weren't great and I didn't sleep great. Other amenities have gone down hill or disappeared as well, but I do like that you can get into your room with a code. That part is a nice improvement. Overall, this was a mediocre experience and after many long years of going to this hotel in the past, we might try somewhere else in the future.

I booked this hotel, a couple of days later they write me that my room is on 3 floor and by the way it has no toilet, you will find that on the second floor. They did not say that and does not say that when booking, so you are led to believe it is a normal hotel room like any other room in a hotel that has a price tag of almost 300 USD. We would never book a room that does not have a toilet in the room, it is not a camping we are going on. So we canceled.

Dubious security provided for bicycles not allowed in rooms. Bike parking area was in full view and access to passersby.

Clean. Manager responsive to request. Very noisy. Difficult walk from ferry terminal.

Clean, quiet, centrally located. Staff was super friendly and helpful!
