Hotel Mainare Playa

Un hotel situado a muy pocos metros del paseo marítimo de Fuengirola. Habitaciones muy amplias, la mía tenía algo de vista al mar y a la piscina del hotel. El personal amable y correcto. Como he dicho anteriormente, las habitaciones son amplias con una aceptable terraza, pero se echa de menos algo más mobiliario en la habitación, así como una televisión de un tamaño acorde a esta, pues se queda pequeña. En general, un buen Hotel, pero deberían mejorar lo señalado.

We are 3 ladies who wanted nice hotel to spend an extended weekend at and this hotel did not disappoint. I needed to email before we went to ask if there was a fridge in the room and they came back to me within 20 minutes saying there was. We arrived the early hours of the morning and couldnt have had a nicer welcome from the gentleman on the desk. The room was very clean and it was a tripple room overlooking the pool with towels for all of us and a bottle of water each for us. Beds were extremely comfy and the room was spacious. The room was cleaned every day and the domestuc staff were very friendly. The lady on reception was exceptionally helpful, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. We had bed and breskfast and if it wasnt for the breakfast i would have given the hotel 5 stars. The staff in the dining area worked really hard and were very pleasant, and the breakfast had lots to choose from but was quite basic. Fruit and bread were lovely, just the hot stuff that let it down, luke warm and not much choice for non meat eaters. The hotel is literally 5 minutes from the beach and an easy stroll onto the promenade. All in all a great holiday thank you to all the staff.

Pros: Staff are very professional and friendly Very central location with loads of amenities and beach nearby Spacious room with beautiful side sea views (front facing not so nice) Air conditioning fabulous Very clean throughout Shower pressure excellent Cons: Not enough drawer space (easy fix are the rooms are very spacious) Recently refurbished, however TV isn't a smart TV and has 2 channels that are only occasionally British speaking Bed linen changed once which was the day before our weeks departure €1 for a small plastic cup of ice to take to our room - Never been asked to pay for ice in a Hotel anywhere in the World €3 for a small plastic cup of draught diet coke full with ice Not Hotels issue: However really impacted our stay: Located on a very busy dual carriage way - Motorbikes racing down the long straight road. Unpleasant to sit on balcony of an evening and this issue kept us awake during the night. Hotel next door - Right adjacent to our swimming pool area had a pneumatic drill drilling all day from Monday to Friday. Couldn't stand listening to this and we opted to go to the nearby beach - €14 for 2 sun beds over 5 days!! An expense we didn't budget for!

Estuvimos en Setiembre en éste Hotel, el servicio que brinda el staff en recepción, bar y desayuno es muy bueno, siempre atentos y prestos a ayudar. Las habitaciones son limpias y a nosotros nos tocó una con vista al mar. Esta en segunda línea de playa en los boliches, con pubs restaurants y junto a una avenida con servicio de bus al centro de Fuengirola a solo 8 minutos.

Habitaciones amplias pero con bañeras!! Hotel antiguo y con necesidad de ser reformado.... yo le quitaba una estrella sin dudarlo. El hotel está junto a una carretera que tiene mucho tráfico durante las 24 horas, con el consiguiente ruido si te alojas en las plantas inferiores, y la carpintería que cierra la terraza es del siglo pasado, y no aísla nada acústicamente. Así que si quieres dormir algo, que sea en las últimas plantas (tiene 10 plantas) si no, no vas a pegar ojo. Por cierto, la playa que hay próxima al hotel tiene piedras, ahí lo dejo como información a los playeros.

Fuimos de viaje con la masa Coral José hodar de Torrevieja. Espectacular, se duerme muy bien y la comida está muy bien. El karaoke genial. La piscina perdíamos la noción del tiempo de lo bien que estábamos. Sin duda recomendado para cualquiera que decida viajar a la costa del sol.
