Really loved having the washer/dryer in the room, which made it really convenient to wash our clothes at the end of the day so we could pack light, and also prevent our clothes from smelling sweaty in the hot summer season. the room was also really spacious and allowed us to have our luggages out and open, unlike many other hotels in Japan cities.
Most of the staff we met were generally courteous and helpful, but not as friendly or approachable. when we asked for early check-in, the counter staff who assisted us in English was quite direct and a bit curt, and some of the explanations were confusing, like whether we could check in only an hour early, or from 12pm onwards. another moment was when we called from our room to ask for toilet paper refills and were asked to come down to the main counter to collect it instead. but overall still found it acceptable.
tenjin-minami station is a short walk away and links to tenjin (fukuoka) station and the tenjin underground mall through a short underground passage. the hotel is also a short 9-min walk away from Canal City. there’s also multiple bus stops nearby to reach areas a little further away (eg Ohori Park, Akasaka area, Hakata station etc)
overall a really good experience and we would stay again! 😊
