Hickman Hill Hotel

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was modern, incredibly comfortable and had lovely amenities. The people are friendly, helpful and lovely. The food was especially delicious and the breakfast scrambled eggs were creamy perfection. I waited until I had booked a second stay with them before I posted this review because I wanted to be sure of getting a place.

This is a very good family run hotel with a comfortable bed, friendly and efficient staff, excellent food and it was quiet. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and brought to you as soon as it is prepared and is of the highest order. We had a quirky shower but once we were shown how to use it found it to be very good. We had dinner two of the three nights we stayed and again it was excellent. We were in Gainsborough to see family and will certainly stay here again when we return. Highly recommended!

We have just returned from a wonderful two night stay at Hickman Hall Hotel. From the moment we walked in, Philippa made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. The owners, Dot and Rob were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble - even finding us a pack of cards in the evening! The food is simply outstanding. We ate at the hotel both nights and had breakfast both mornings. The quality of the food, flavour and presentation was on par with a 5☆ restaurant. Our room was well decorated and had everything you could possibly need, including bath robes. The location of the hotel made it easy to walk into town. We also walked along the river into Moreton, had a local wood walk and visited the race track at Blyton. Honestly a gem of a hotel which we will definitely be returning to.

First class hotel. Sll staff very friendly and helpful. The room is rally nice, with a fridge containing 2 bottles of water and a small bottle of fresh orange and fresh milk. Lovely view into the garden where deer were roaming. Great toiletries in the bathroom. There is only 1 issue for me, and it's more of a personal one, I don't like wooded flooring. The one thing that stood out the most was the food. Simply stunning. Everything cooked to perfection.
