Campus Residenz Munchen Garching

Attempted to contact the hotel to make changes to a reservation on June 28th at 10 PM local hotel time. Unfortunately, encountered difficulties as the two front desk agents were unable to communicate in English. Despite multiple attempts to reach them, they continuously hung up the phone deliberately. It is concerning that a hotel would employ individuals lacking basic customer service skills. Initially, I was instructed to call the platform where I booked the reservation, which was the hotel's direct. You would have thought they would check first than just brushing you off to get you off the phone. However, even after providing the confirmation number, the agent repeatedly mentioned a different number, demonstrating a lack of understanding. Despite my attempts to correct her, it became evident that the language barrier extended to a basic grasp of numbers as well. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. If you must, consider booking through third-party platforms, as they often provide better assistance compared to the hotel's own front desk. I have asked for the agents name and she refuses to provide her name. Do not stay here, even a basic service you will not receive!

We loved everything about this hotel except for the bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The TV set up is nice. The automatic blinds were a nice modern touch. The breakfast area was very nice, good selection of foods in the morning. Everything from the room down to the common area were very clean. We did not use the gym, but the gym looked to be very nice. The proximity to the U-Bahn was the best part. It was a last stop, easy to get on, easy to get off, about a 20 to 25 minute ride to Oktoberfest. do not waste your money paying for parking, there is ample outdoor parking right next to the hotel. we had no problems finding a spot at any time. The weird part is the bathroom. They have a shower that has three sides to it, but no back. So all of the water is constantly squirting out of the shower and into the main part of the bathroom. Everything gets soaked. There’s just no way to stop that. maybe they could put a curtain in? Or a fourth wall? it was just very odd all together. my wife and I just ended up sacrificing a couple towels to sop up all the water that was constantly coming out of the shower. If it weren’t for the shower, I would give my stay five stars. Everything is top notch, but they’re going to have to do something about these showers- I hope this is Marriot experimenting with something, and realizing it was an epic fail.
