Hotel SeeRose

We have been staying in the Seerose since several years now. In the past they were mostly booked, when we planning to visit the area again. This time we got hold of two nights during August. Due to limited availability of other rooms we booked the DZ Landskron with half board. The room is modern and spacious. We arrived and outside temperatures were close to 30 °C, however, the room has no air-condition, but the housekeeping had nicely closed all the curtains to keep the heat outside. Unfortunately, during our stay this did not help anymore and the temperatures inside the room the raised beyond 24°C without the possibility to lower it by opening the windows. When opening the door to the nice balcony, we had to face an increased number of mosquitos inside the room, which was unpleasant. Thus, we decided to sweat instead of being bitten. Insect screens could be an improvement measure here. Unfortunately, there is no fridge in the room to keep some water or drinks cold in the room. This was quite disappointing, especially, with these temperature conditions. We are not used to the lack of a fridge, which is standard in even 3 stars hotels. We got a little disappointed with the dinner, the salad bar and first course are of good and fresh quality, unfortunately there is little variability. The main course however was well arranged, but the portion was quite small. The waiter did not respond to our critics in this respect, nor offered an addition. In summary we were disappointed by our stay, especially as we had planned the stay as the recreational finish of our vacations. When addressing the insect screen and missing fridge on check out, the receptionist took our remarks quite laid-back, but mentioned, that we could have gotten a small fridge on request, this we question, as we did not see any power plug at the foreseen place in the cupboard.

Besser ist nicht möglich. Einfach nur zum geniessen. Das Hotel mit der einzigartigen ruhigen Lage direkt am Ossiachersee ist eine Oase zum erholen. Das Essen einfach himmlisch. Der Wellnessbereich könnte nicht entspannter sein. Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch mit meinen Reisegästen

Once again, we stayed at this lovely family run hotel and weren’t disappointed. On arrival the owners made us welcome, the staff were very friendly and always greeted with a smile. Everywhere spick and span. The food was excellent with lots of choice and variety. Breakfast buffet with everything you could think of and a various selection of egg dishes which were made fresh on request. At lunch time a soup, snack and salad buffet was available and in the afternoon a cake buffet. The evening meal was 5 course, partially buffet and table service. For the main course you had a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. Desserts were excellent and then came the cheese buffet. You’ll never go hungry in this hotel. They also offer lots of good wine at reasonable prices. What is also unique is that all guests have a table indoors for bad weather and one on the terrace. So, there is no guest preference which often happens in hotels when they have regular guests. Free parking is also available, so what more could you wish for. We are looking forward to going again next year.

The hotel is very nice, built with traditional materials, but in a modern style. Between the two hotel buildings is a garden open to the lake. The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the garden with deckchairs. These rooms also have an exterior blind. The varied breakfast selection is very good. A choice of three menus is served for dinner. All meals are tasty and made from local ingredients. I felt welcome and comfortably accommodated in the hotel. The only minus is the lack of air conditioning in the room.

Cuando has viajado mucho, has visitado muchos hoteles, conoces enseguida a qué alojamiento vas. El hotel Seerose en Carintia es una joya escondida en la región de los lagos. Desde que llegas a la recepción te atienden espléndidamente, mostrándote todas las dependencias y la estructura del hotel. Limpieza absoluta. Ubicación ideal en el lago. Jardín precioso con tumbonas para el sol, o bien, sombrillas si prefieres sombra. Ambiente muy familiar, de una familia que ama la hostelería desde generaciones. Buena comida en la terraza si hace buen tiempo, o en el comedor si el tiempo no acompaña. La relación, calidad, precio es la adecuada. La palabra que mejor define, en conclusión, Seerose de Bodensdorf es ENCANTADOR.
