We’ve always chosen this hotel for our Penang trips because of its strategic location and comfortable rooms. However, our recent stay was disappointing—enough that, for the first time, we’re considering other hotels for future visits.
Cleanliness was below expectation: the bathroom had visible mould, dirts on the toilet bowl, and a broken handheld shower with water leaking from the connector. There was also noticeable lump of dust along the walls and carpet corners. The fridge wasn’t working either.
The car park system added further frustration. Across our 4-day stay, we couldn’t scan the ticket each time we exited and had to wait for security assistance, causing unnecessary queues. We were told a new system goes live on 1st July, but the disruption was poorly managed.
It’s disappointing to see this level of upkeep and service from a hotel that carries the Sunway name. Hoping to see improvements moving forward.
